Hello, I was just wondering about the height of the ramp?
I kept the height at about 10 cm. For a 1.0 m - 1.5 m long ramp the best height is between 10 cm and 15 cm.

Thank you for this sir, I was curious while studying separation techniques in Chemistry, I couldn't believe it was possible to separate a mixture of solids(two powdered mixtures), but now I can see that this is possible due to different solubilities.

I am a chemistry teacher myself, and I came across your video as I need to show them this method when I will be absent from my classroom. Your video is excellent and I will use it. I normally start this demonstration by pouring a small amount of pure ethanol onto the desk and light it on fire. I use this to show ethanol is flammable. I then try to light the water / ethanol mixture which will not light. At the end of the distillation I take the repurified ethanol distillate and it easily lights again. This is both exciting for students and gives qualitative proof that the ethanol is indeed close to pure again. Thanks so much for posting your video!

Could you have plotted d vs t. Then v vs t. Then acceleration?
The graph between d and t would be a curve. You would need to find the slope at multiple points to find v at those points. That makes the process slow and tedious. The graph between d and t^2 is a straight line and the slope of that line is equal to 0.5a. Simple and straight forward.

Hey, this experiment measures constant acceleration of a ball going down an inclined plane. It is uses the equation d = v(0)t + 0.5at^2 with v(0) = initial velocity = 0 m/s.

Electric current is passed through molten sodium chloride to separate sodium for it. This is beyond the capabilities of most high school labs.

Naruto, this is how all digital measuring devices work. We are always uncertain of the last decimal digit. It is very rare to see the last digit on a digital balance to show a stabilized value for the last digit. I am glad you noticed that. I hope that you were able to see past this and learn something from the video.
