I am not an expert in these matters but one coming from science and logic. Granted that pregnancy starts 2-3 weeks after sex, why wait until the the sperm fertilises the egg? A woman would have, at least, 2 weeks to take (say) a 'Morning After Pill' to stop the process even starting? And the abortion would not be necessary unless to save the life of the pregnant women or where she was denied access to early contraception, e.g., where she was kidnapped, raped and denied access.
