Also make sure the fuel selector in the Cessna 172 is set to "Both" so it uses both fuel tanks (by default this is set to a single one) and cruise at 2300 rpm. Learned this the hard way 😅.
Ouch I haven't flown it for a while
My problem I didn't know when and where to fuel up owned planes. I figured out that you have to select a mission to fly BUT fuel up the plane in the garage BEFORE you start the mission. There was a "fuel and payload" button in the top right corner of the garage screen that I was completely oblivious to lol. Go in there and you can buy fuel for your plane and add it instantly. MS really fudged up the menus for this game.

@@AngaryGranny yeah career mode has made flight meaningful rather than just free flight all the time. Now we goals and achievements to work for. I'm hooked at the moment lol.
@@darkdodger137 That's a pretty good summary. I'm currently half way through a 7 hour flight to New Zealand..... hooked yes. Try PC24 for a great jet!!
Doing this during a flight with my owned planes gives me an error and basically crashes the mission and returns me to the main menu. I have duplicated this crash several times.
Yeah sorry mate I haven't got a work around for that yet.

No mate
When I use it using a company plane I get a error and kicks me out mission any way to fix this only happens with company missions
I haven’t tried it with company planes. I’ll have a look though.

@@AngaryGranny other than that thanks alot helps with all the other missions I’ve tried just maybe something to do with company I’m currently trying the vip with the Cessna Skyhawk but never makes it 😂
@ I have been putting off getting a company. I’m currently doing vips so I can medivac. I’ve got airlines on fixed wing to go and I’ve got all the licences. With the fuel, I’ll do a vid later today about the legit way to add fuel which will likely solve your problem anyway. Give me about 5 hours 😂😂
@@AngaryGranny sounds good the company is good as usual can make 120k a mission but I’ve also crashed by the game bugging out a bit or high winds while on auto pilot and it’s cost me 400k to fix plane but if u don’t crash it’s good money
I still wonder why they don’t give us max fuel in the beginning, my plane always run out of fuel in the middle of the mission

In control options, look for increase/decrease simulation rate,. This will speed up your flights
