In your cheery, happy tale about the J.C. Long development, you neglect to mention that the development was restricted only to white people. Your family has a legacy probably worth millions when returning Black veterans and other people of color of your grandfather's era returned from military service with no such opportunity to purchase in those Long developments to pass generational accumulated wealth to their descendants.
