A quick and easy dessert recipe!
SATA ANDAGI
120g Cake Flour
1g Baking Powder
1g Salt
50g Egg (1 large)
60g Cane Sugar (you can use a dark brown sugar like demerara)
10g Unsalted Butter (melted)
Oil for shaping
Oil for frying
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt
Beat egg and sugar together until thick and pale
Stir melted butter into sugar egg mixture
Fold flour mixture into egg mixture
Allow to stand for one hour
Heat frying oil to 300F / 150C
Oil your hands and form into balls
Drop balls into hot oil, flipping a couple of times, for 6-8 minutes
The sata andagi will float and the outsides will have cracked
Once they've been floating for a couple of minutes, they are ready to go!
