MV Margaret Rose, our late fathers 9.6m Swiftcat finds a new owner and is off to her new home to be enjoyed by Sabba Curran and his wonderful family, what an emotional day.

Quicksilver 300 AirDeck with Yamaha 15hp 2T
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.3 года назад
This is my first time out with this setup. With more experience I might take it passed 40% throttle once I get weight distribution sorted out better because with me alone, on one side, the SiB tending to veer left. Ohh, and @40% throttle, between 21 and 24 mph depending if I was with, or against tide. Thanks to www.inflatableboatfishing.com rutherfordsangling.co.uk www.gallowayangling.co.uk Lau...
Quicksilver 300 Airdeck Yamaha 15hp 2T (the return)

Just me coming back in, terrible accent, creeping laugh et-al, but hey, took me hours to stop smiling, I had a class day, fishing wasn't great but I was barely still for more than 5 minutes. I've been advised already on why my engine is out of line with direction, my own body on left tube causing drag, but hey, live and learn. Quicksilver 300 AirDeck Yamaha 15hp 2T (I've been out 30minutes)

Just a bit of waffle and a view of the terrible conditions I had to endure (joking) while sibbing. I think I might be off with the land descriptions, fished here for 30 years from the shore and ohh how it's different from the water ehh, it really is one of nicest places Scotland has to offer us and all of the local folk are just so welcoming and friendly. Since making these few videos I've done...
Quicksilver 300 Air Deck unboxing and build test

Very little is around the interwebs about these SIBs so I made this speeded up version. No working pressures are reached in any tubes or floor, they are up to aprox 80% of pressure. The tube valves are numbered 1 thru 5 with the pressure printed around each valve. The entire SiB weighs 37kg ! I will make another video of it at a launch site and it's maiden voyage with a Yamaha 15hp 2T motor on ...
Is it with a high pressure airdeck?
it is yes, deck gets inflated to 11psi or so, a good tip is to hold the nozzle in the fitting, 11psi doesn't sound like much but in that volume it is and can vibrate loose
Thanks Paul! I'm looking at the same with a 9.9 Mariner
Hi,, I've got the same boat, what make are your transom rod holders, they look pretty sturdy.
top speed ?
Most I had it to was 28, it wasn't WOT and was a bit hairy, I've since went down to a 9.8hp and it's now more comfortable at 20 with a fair bit of gear
Absolutely amazing, Farwell Margaret Rose, the lads had some great times with dad & grandad. I love and miss you, Dave, more than words can say, in my heart forever 💔😢😘😘
Hi, thanks for posting the videos, Very good. Have you been out in a bit of a swell or chop and if so were you happy with the way it handled and did you feel safe, after downsizing from a 3.8 honwave Im looking to buy one of these second hand and couple it with a 15 hp 2 stroke. Do you think it would be fine with 2 large adults and a child for beach hopping or a spot of sea fishing ? Any thoughts or conclusions would be appreciated.thanks. A
Hi, you will fly with a 15hp even with 2 adults, I have a 10hp now and with 2 adults i was still at 17mph. i've been out in chop between 1.5-2ft and i found it quite fun , wet, but fun. I was given a tip once, 'If you have to think about going out, then don't' , I use that and it keeps me safe. One thing, these sibs are very light, which can make launching through a little surf somewhat.. interesting, but I am sure it will make you smile
@@paulstockdale8760 ideal thanks for sharing your thoughts, I'm looking at one tom. 👍
Hkw much does it weight?
Around 36Kg Ivan
@@paulstockdale8760 thanks and how many people can acomodate? 3-4? I was looking at the Intex Mariner 4 but now am tinking for someting that can handle more powerfull engine
@@Nisotovski I would say 3 and a child, it will certainly handle 4 adults, if they are lighter than the UK average weight lol, this goes like stink with a 15hp, and for me alone with fishing gear i have downgraded to a 9.8
@@paulstockdale8760 thanks for the info bro. I will consireer it. How long do u have it and how happy are u with the quality of it?
@@Nisotovski nearly 2 years, more than happy with it, because i fish with it, wish i had the option of a darker colour, I use august race to keep it clean
I plan on using the 300 Airdeck with a Yamaha F8, any thoughts?
I guess it will depend on load really, I would expect it will plane solo with a bit of fishing gear. I'm in the market for a 9.8hp as I tend to carry my weight in fishing gear lol, I also expect to be able to use all rev range. In saying that, I think I could open the yam right up if the sea was like glass
What speed do you get? And at how much load?
Wow, apologies for a very late reply, don't know how I missed this The highest I took it to was 27mph at somewhere around half throttle, may have been 60% may have been 40%, this was with a relatively light load just me and some fishing gear. I've since sold the engine off and opted for something lighter
How long is the dingy and how much was the dingy where did u get it from
Hi Richard, it's 3 meters, I paid £784 inc delivery from a supplier that is no longer trading due to retirement
How much did the boat cost u
£749, £35 p+p bud
Hi Paul how long is your dingy and how much did it cost
Hi, it's 3m long and cost £784 inc shipping, sadly though Ron Hale Marine no longer trade (retired)
@@paulstockdale8760 thanks Paul tight line's
You're making me happy mate, I'll be picking up one of these tomorrow with a 15hp Evinrude 2 stroke.
Good choice buddy, It is excellent fun, but I think you will find yourself experimenting with your body position until you find the sweet spot, happy sibbing
@@paulstockdale8760 what’s the psi on your air deck? Mine is the older model and it’s 12psi.
@@yakovbok4982 pretty sure it's 11psi bud
How much was the airdeck dingy
Around £750 with £35 post, the company I got mine from is no longer trading, the owner retired.
