This thing doesn’t turn. I’m not sure if I am expecting more. I have a 840 spitfire , and thought this would handle waves as well. Any thoughts ?

@@davegoodwin8213 art v2 999 turn almost like a spitfire 900. What stab do you have? So the art v2 879 turn a lot more. Use progressive 250, it will turn for sure.

@@yvonvite_AXIS thanks for the reply mate. Allways hard to get good info over here. I have used a 45 skinny, and have tried a 350 progressive and the progressive was like having a hand brake on! I am on the alloy mast, im wondering if im getting wobble and flex. Interesting that you say its like the 900 Spitfire as its nothing like the 840 I already have. Have you noticed inconsistent feel when using the aluminium mast?

@@davegoodwin8213 hmmm i can't really comment on a comparison to the spitfires, and the foil does turn really nice its just hard to do it on boat wakes both with the speeds, size of the wake and my skills

For the first time using it, I really liked it; I also did a sup dw paddle run with it and was surprised at how early I could get up on it and the ease of the pumps. It does require some finesse to keep the speed up tho. at my weight I did notice some wobble and flex through the mast and fuse as well

Not sure what size in this video but Fusion 5M is super efficient gets me going from 7-8 knots with a 5'7 x 17.5 midlegnth board and Mike'slab 1150cm foil

I prefer the r5, it has slightly more area, however, the main difference is the r5 has a greater AR resulting in more glide which makes it easier in lighter conditions, especially through tacks. I also like the adjustment with the stabiliser which helps to get more speed in stronger conditions

ye i need to sand it and fix some imperections. However, sometimes the whistle is good as other people hear me coming

Cheers mate, this was using a mates chubanga foil, it's their new wingfoil setup which was 500 sqcm, it's not released yet however you can buy it from them I believe
