Happy Sunday! We have an honorary guest today...can you guess who it is?? Hello Marly Ruiz, you look so gorgeous and orchid too. 31:28 in Indonesia we called "dendrobium keriting" is mean orchid curly because she has twist petals.

The first orchid you showed was truly GORGEOUS! love all yours though, lol. Question- Do Schomburkia like full sun? I have several anthurium and your queen looks healthy :) the spots are maybe just mechanical damage. Their leaves are sensitive being touched while they're opening and expanding. They are Drama Queens lol and I am terrified of snakes too, even the tiniest.

@@Orchid_lover_marlythank you so much. I’m in CA and most spots I can put outside are full sun and our winters are too bad. Only a few lower temp days. My Cymbidiums did fine through the winter outdoors. Now I know I can get some new orchids

They bloom, but they get relatively messy when they are big.

Hey Marly, I'm Yudier Acosta another orchids lover from Miami FL. I just started following your channel, but I always see you selling your beautiful accessories at the shows. I do not know what is happening with my Ms. Joaquin orchid, I got her and established her many yrs ago but have never bloom for me.

@@patriciawang9607 just barely. I keep it in the soil it came in. But most of the grounding themselves with each other. The bottom ones will never flower but they are needed for support for the plant to grow.

loving your oasis. I want to know more about what you use and do for fungus and how often? do you do preventative? I must have a hoya love those.
Your comment made me laugh! Thank you for the giggle. I use Subdue every 6 months for the fungus. I also use other topicals to combat the fungus such as Dithane M 45!

Beautiful flowers. I have a question? How do you fertilize your orchids by the pool without it running with rain or water and disrupting the chemical imbalance of the pool water?
Hi ! Adding fertilizer to the plants around the pool is not any different than when it rain and you get water on the pool. You just need a really good filter in the pool that filters chemicals that fall in the pool.
