E90 Cluster CAN BUS Arduino ETS2 (help needed)
I have been working on this project to get an E90 Cluster working with ETS2.
As you can see it works to a point. all can bus signals are received but the cluster appears to reboot causing gauges to drop every few seconds.
I have tried a multitude of fixes to no avail. Hoping someone in the youtube community may be able to help.
setup is:
2x arduino uno,
2x Seee Studio can bus Shield v2

This literally looks like something that would happen in a VW Routan. *and yes, it was a loose battery terminal, and loose battery, (seriously it really was.)*
Where you ever able to fix the problem? I've got the same problem here and cutting the P1 pad didn't help.
Try connecting the cluster gnd (-) with the arduino gnd
Can you post some learnings? What CAN IDs drive the various parts of the display? How does it work? A table of CAN info would be super!
Hello Sam Could you maybe do a tutorial on how you linked the cluster and the game
Can you do a tutorial on how you linked it
Simhub
@@frozen_mitko i think simhub wont work because e87, e90 use can bus
@@themarmeladecrafter3533 That's the whole point of the game, You need to have a CAN-Bus shield otherwise this will not work.
My ABS doesnt work. Anyone can help me?
hi,i have a bmw e90 speedometer i turn on it with 12+ and canbus module and not light up,only light screen with miliage and outside temperature, did you know how to turn on light ? sorry for my eng ;(
Frome e36 is better to do it
How do you light up the instrument cluster on bench? Can you please help? +447729232966
Hey, I was searching RUclips and also google to see if there is an arduino setup for my E46 cluster. I came across a video where this person seems to have got most of the basic stuff working on an E90 cluster in ETS2. Check this out and it may help you: ruclips.net/video/5KFK7mTA3D0/видео.html
any news of this project
github.com/Marcin648/e90-dashboard-ets2 Still in development . A simple GUI was created. Problem on video can be solved by cut off termination resistor in CAN interface. For now, I don't have access to hardware. I plan to support more games in future.
@@Marcin648 You, my man, are a LEGEND!!!! I've been pulling my hair out for days trying to figure out why my cluster was resetting. I was reorganizing code in 1000 different ways, swapped power supplies, CAN libraries, Arduinos, nothing helped. I searched through forums, sent messages to ppl, debated about what could be wrong with some of them when they were trying to help me, opened forum threads but couldn't figure this thing out. I almost gave up... And then I stumble upon this video and comment! GOLD! I can finally have a good good night sleep without thinking what I have not tried yet :D THANK YOU!
@@Marcin648 Thank you very much, I greatly appreciate the work and the fact that you shared your information with us and got us out of the mess, you deserve all the respect
@@TheDenix8 Many thanks to you too, I appreciate the fact that you did not leave unfinished the project you started
@@Marcin648 Will it work in both ETS2 and Beamng perhaps?
You need to count up the heartbeat value every x seconds
