They have so much talent both in NXT and on the main roster that there would be no place for him. It's no secret that he signed a contract extension a couple of years ago anyway, so he was never leaving.

I can think of a bunch of people off the top that wouldn't be on TV anymore. and I'm pretty sure the current regime would let him be himself. it's a shame he's wrestling for a promotion full of has beens and never will bes when he could be one if the biggest stars in the industry working with other people at his level. let's not kid ourselves. everyone who has defected and went to AEW did it to be a bigger fish in a littler pond

@douglaspurcell7506 The biggest problem is with him signing that extension. I will give him the benefit of the doubt that no one could have seen how much of an absolute dumpster fire this promotion would become, but now he is stuck there and will most likely continue to be until the eventual bottoming out. And being that Khan has already spoken about making Dynamite 3 hours, makes me feel Zaslav has told him that if he wants a decent TV rights renewal, then Collision had to go. This means more wrestlers complaining of less tv time on an already overcrowded roster. Not to mention a potential train wreck of a plummet in that third hour on top of the already declining ratings. The only positive possibly for MJF is that Tony actually values him and will throw anything his way to keep him. It will be up to Maxwell in time if he wants to stay on declining product for ridiculous money or take a chance and become a real star. We shall see.
