PROBLEM! - Delta Pro Not Recognizing Extra Battery
In this video, I discuss a recent issue that has occurred with one of my Delta Pro Extra Batteries. I have 4 Delta Pros and 4 extra batteries. Recently, 1 of the batteries has suddenly stopped being recognized by ANY of the Delta Pros.
I've tried:
1. Switching which port it is plugged into (allegedly port 1 is the one it should for updates)
2. Switching the battery cable
3. Plugging in another extra battery (other batteries work fine)
4. Plugging in the problem battery by itself
5. Resetting the battery.
6. Checking to see if there are any firmware updates (THERE ARE NOT!)
Initially after opening a case with EF support, they said they pushed a firmware update to the battery. I then connected th...

Aqara U100 Smart Home Lock Review

In this video, I review the Aqara U100 Smart Lock. I purchased from Amazon during their Black Friday special in 2024. The features that it listed impressed me, fingerprints, access codes and compatible with Apple Home Key? This is exactly what I had been wanting! Previously I had used the August Smart Lock for about 4-5 years and had been very happy with it although some of the range proximity ...
Costco Find - Shark Carpet Xpert (R-EX205) Cleaner with Stain Striker

In this video, I review the Shark Carpet Xpert carpet cleaner. Having spent a lot of time reviewing various dry vacs, I felt like it was time to review a good carpet cleaner. The Shark is a mostly well designed and implemented carpet cleaner intended for light to medium duty. It has a small clean water tank that runs out pretty quickly if you're trying to cover large surface areas. In my case, ...

    It's like the wild west out there with solar panels - nothing is standardised. What should be a simple transparent activity turns out to be complicated. I've got a Longi panel 450w and a Ecoworthy 100w panel, putting them side-by-side and measuring the short circuit current shows the Longi is only double the current of the ecoworthy when It should be 4 x, given power rating. One panel gives a VOC of 36v the other gives 24v and because of the power difference they cant be put in series and because of the volt difference they can't be put in parallel. The whole things a dogs dinner. I'm backing off from solar upgrades until they standardise the specifications, otherwise it's an expensive minefield.

    Chain tensioning assemblies are notorious for being fragile on some saws. I don't know that to be the case with this saw, but I never 'snug up' the cover with a wrench when adjusting the tension. Finger tight on the cover nuts, raise the tip of the bar as far as it will go, snug up the chain, and THEN put the wrench to the cover nuts. No broken tensioning assembly for ME.

    First of all, he's pronouncing it wrong. Second of all, with these units first came out. I purchased him as an engineer. There is no flaws with these devices. I have 4 of them the Eco flow. I have the pros. I have four units and I have never had a problem with either one of them. I've been an engineer for 30 years. It doesn't mean I know everything what I'm saying. Is it seems like every time certain people get these products? They always find something wrong with them. The product is supposed to be charged. Plugged up, use, most of you guys are always trying to Come up with a different schematics. For these machines or change the engineering or design for them, leave them alone. It's not meant to run. The world is meant to plug in, use it for a while, and then recharge. It, it's just a battery, plain and simple jesus. You always trying to put some type of an adapter or some type of extra apparatus is something that doesn't need to be plugged in. That's not what it was designed for it was designed for you to plug things into it and case your power goes out. Plug your TV in plug your saw. In you know, to Plug different units in for a short period of time. It's not meant 2 like if you have a power outagefoura day or 2, 2 be washed and clothes with it and 2 try and rig it up to do something that it wasn't designed to do. It's a great design. This is like, uh, yeah, guys will go out here and swap an engine in a car. And get upset because it doesn't have the right to cubic feet that they won. It wasn't designed for you. It was designed for everybody to run a certain way to put a certain engine in it. Then you got to remodify it and cut this cut that man, you guys are a piece of work man, the machine works finely but the hell alone. Because you're making other people that only wanna use the machine for basic use. I think that the d*** thing is defective and it's not. It's you who are defective with that mindset. I used to sit in shop class. All types of other communication classes, electronics, class and guys want to come up with this. Astronomical a** mindset, that's fine. Go do it on another product because you're making the product look bad. Other people are looking at it, saying it's worthless. It's cheap, that's a d*** lie. I've had these products for years and I haven't had any issue with them cutting on cutting off breaking or anything. But you guys put him in the back of a pickup truck and you jar them and you you got 'em all over the place, they're everywhere, bouncing doing things that they're not supposed to do and then you wonder why the s*** doesn't work?Come on, that's stop being stupid

      This was the 2021 model year I believe. According to Hisun's website, the 24/25 models are essentially the same. They still feature the Discover Dry Cell batteries. That's the biggest hindrance, they need to switch over to LIFEPO4 and it would make a massive difference in performance and weight.

    I have the exact same problem with the 5amp hour. Funny, tech support says they have never heard of anyone saying that the unit shuts off. I thought I had a bad unit, so I took mine back to Lowes and they swapped it out no questions asked. But same problem with a different unit. What bugs me the most is Ego won't admit to a design flaw or whatever the problem is. I assume it has some type of thermo protection sensor that monitors motor heat and then it cuts off. I live in Texas and I notice more of an issue. when it is 95 plus degrees out. It's now fall and 75 degrees and it doesn't seem to cut off as quickly.

    • @randomsubject1
      @randomsubject1 27 дней назад

      You should check with Ecoflow as you may need a model designed to use 220V 50 Hz. Products sold in America will be for 240V 60 Hz, with two 120V legs making the 240V (N, L1, L2, G). There might be a different circuit board required for different markets. Most of the world is more like your grid than ours, so it is likely they will have a compatible model.

    “Daniel Son” … I was getting this same ‘cut out’ with the 5.0 Ah battery, whilst in Turbo. Pull the battery, then it restarts, but will cut out again when Turbo is engaged. Talked with my CherVon Rep, and Ego, and then, while I was waiting for a response back, the impeller lost a fin, when my Wife was running it! 😮 Now it is just hanging on its peg in the basement stairway. Cant locate my receipt, and Effing Lowe’s is NO Help! I am demoing the big 80 Volt Greenworks right now, and while it is not the most ergo blower, it does perform well, maybe just below the level of the 765 EGO. But the battery and charger system works well, and battery is charged up quickly, and battery never gets hot! I am not invested in the EGO lineup, and until Lowes can get me a copy of my valid receipt, I may just change to Greenworks! Great Video and possibly good PSA! Come on EGO/ CherVon! Get it together!

    • @DanielGoodwin-jq1oc
      @DanielGoodwin-jq1oc 28 дней назад

      Ugh! I hate having to search for receipts to the big box stores, that is the worst! They've gotten a bit better if you have their member rewards program as it stores your receipts in the phone app. Hoping you and/or Lowes will be able to locate that receipt. AS for the Greenworks, they definitely have some nice looking products! I was a little burned because the Kobalt line of 80v tools at Lowes was produced by Greenworks and then it seems like they just phased that entire line out which left me stranded till I switched to Ego. The Kobalt pole saw was by far the best cordless pole saw I've ever used, I presume the Greenworks model should be similar as they're essentially the same tool lineup. I will say this about EGO, this is the first and only tool in their lineup that I've had a problem with. It does seem to be pervasive and a design/compatability flaw that they should acknowledge and address. I have 3 chainsaws, their backpack blower, the mower, hedge trimmer, weedeater etc and all of those work fantastic. I wouldn't necessarily give up on the whole product line but yeah, the LB7654 has an issue for sure.

    Where did you find the DVH and the cables to connect your 2 DPs to the SHP2? I want to change over to the newer system and get the DPU.

      You can buy direct from Ecoflow here: us.ecoflow.com/products/double-voltage-hub-ecoflow-delta-pro

    On the Original SHP I can run some circuits on solar and some on grid and make changes on the app depending on battery percentage, Will the SHP2 have the same functions?

    • @DanielGoodwin-jq1oc
      @DanielGoodwin-jq1oc Месяц назад

      Yes, you can choose to run certain circuits on battery and others on grid. Basically, the SHP2 has all of the configuration capabilities of the first SHP + additional options.

    How do you have it all wired up

    I just installed this dehumidifier today and hook the garden hose up to it to my floor drain. Can't get it to drain through the garden hose. It just fills up the bucket. Any thoughts?

    • @DanielGoodwin-jq1oc
      @DanielGoodwin-jq1oc Месяц назад

      If you're using a garden hose for gravity draining (and NOT the pump with the 1/4 pex piping) then you will need to remove the bucket and run the dehumidifier without it.

      @@DanielGoodwin-jq1oc nope....I just got the garden hose working. You DON'T have to take the bucket out. You just need to make sure the hose isn't too long and that it doesn't rise up off the floor (in coils, etc) higher than the outlet, and gravity will do the rest. Leave the bucket in tact :)

      That's good to note! I mostly use mine with the built in pump for that very reason (in case gravity works against me).

    Excellent! I did not know the difference between XT60 and XT60i connectors for my new solar installation project. I have Delta Max and River Pro power stations. Simple, look for the center pin at the side and you got a XT60i, otherwise it's an XT60 connector. Easy Peasy, thanks!

    I like that the SHP2 has 3 i/o ports, but would be nice if there was an option for 3 i/o ports without the smart panel part.

    I have the same issue..but I can't get it to even start. I have the same ego blower with the intro model..and I use turbo all the time..and works great even after 5 years

    I am off-grid and hope you can tell me if I can use this panel in place of a main breaker box or do I need both? That seems to be redundant since I will have all my circuits on the Delta Pro system (except Air Conditioning since those will be totally separate)

    • @DanielGoodwin-jq1oc
      @DanielGoodwin-jq1oc Месяц назад

      Yes, you could use this as your main breaker box (assuming you will have no grid power coming in). Obviously, if you run out of power everything will go down so size accordingly. :)

    I have an LB6500 56V EGO blower and same thing occurs with mine using a 5.0 AH battery. My EGO battery just died (lights just flash red) so I bought an after market battery which works fine under normal blowing, but still has the same "cut out" issues of the original EGO battery. This is definitely a blower issue and not battery issue.

    Can you run a second or even a third pair of DP's in the SHP2?

    • @DanielGoodwin-jq1oc
      @DanielGoodwin-jq1oc Месяц назад

      Yes! You can hook up to a total of 6x DP (with 3x double voltage hubs) to the Smart Home Panel. That definitely makes the original Delta Pros more useful and is one major redeeming factor of the new SHP2. You can also do a combination of 2x DP, 1x Ultra and maybe 2x DP3 if you wanted.

    • @qtrhors1

      @@DanielGoodwin-jq1oc Thanks for the response. That is very interesting. Seems like that would give some shelf life to the DP...especially if they keep coming down in price

      I expect that for Black Friday, the refurbished DPs from EF will be around $1,000. That's a pretty good deal if you have the solar panels to run them.

      Thats exactly how I do it. I have 2 DPU's with 5 batteries on each, 2 DP's with 6 Extra batteries connect to SHP2 via the Double voltage hub. The SOC is a little wonky but it does work.
