i’m stuck on the part where i have to buy blueprints i bought a lot and it doesn’t let me move on

For me it’s not working it still say assist the solders although there’s no enemies I killed them all and still not working and I even restarted my game still not working

After being stuck on this quest for days and doing a whole lot of what the internet said would work and didn't, this is what I did. Results may vary. 1) BACKUP YOUR SAVE!! This may mess up something for later in the game so again, backup your save 2) Download Save Editor and open your save file there. 3) Do to Edit and select "Edit RAW JSON" and select save.hg (which is the name of my save) 4) Ctrl+F (uncheck "case sensitive" box just in case) and search "ACT1" 5) Under act1 you'll see "PROGESS", I changed the number from 6 to 7 and close/save it. I started my game and now it says to search the stars for clues. Opened the save editor again and it says 12 for some reason. Again I don't know if it messed up anything else but for now I'm progressing again after a week.

i did the same thing and was unable to complete the quest. alas i didnt think to reload lol so i went and scanned some more stuff and waited a day lol

Hi! Having recently purchased the game, I've been looking at RUclips videos - yours are the easiest to follow and I've learned quite a lot just through the first two. I'm sure by the end of your series, I'll be a decent player with enough info and experience to tackle the more difficult settings. BTW, there's one guy whom I was already yelling at him while watching - his BS phony accent and just dumb game play in general. He would have been kicked out of a dungeon or raid group in WoW (the previous game I played). While attempting to run from an enemy at night, he'd run into the dark and aggro more! Then once he died in an area, rather than either making some basic weapons and heading back, he'd just run there without anything but his fists and an empty backpack.... DOH I appreciate that you do all on camera - it does help us noobs get a feel for the game before diving in blind! Keep up the good work! Do you happen to play Factorio? I'd love to see you play that game.

Anyone having the vykeen glitch all you have to do is travel super super far then a reset mission will pop up. I was stuck for ever until I gave up and just started to explore.

I find it quicker to get on the roof of the building and shoot the horrors from there.

My quest will not update after speaking to the cartographer lol even after I reset and start it over from beginning it still just doesn't give me any update for the quest lol

Hello just found your channel and I love your commentary. You got yourself another subscriber. I plan on binge watching this series and maybe learn a few things. I also own Rimworld and Keplerth and suck at both.

The 'weird flame' over the fire you saw is the flame from your torch.

If you start doing missions and start a new character, I recommend start on Olympus and stay on the first mission until you hit at least level 10. Keep away from thatch - it's a waste of blueprint points early game.

Eat cooked meat to bring your health level up again - if you place your 3 food types in your hotbar they can be easily accessed. The worms do respawn but it takes a while. You probably didn't kill all the worms. You can check by running in and out and killing what appears. When it seems to be clear, then move through the cave to check. The worm 'triggers' are placed at various points in the cave. They are also triggered by sound I think, so make some noise!

Some caves only have 1 worm some caves have many (up to 8 (?)). they can be anywhere in the cave except the roof. The worms usually move forwards in the holes, so if you kill the nearest worms then run out the cave, wait a couple of seconds they go back in, the should have moved forwards and appear in the nearest holes. It's also a good idea to not spend much time in the cave as you can get cave cough (pneumonia). Run out of the cave every so often to reset the probability of getting the cave cough.

Suture kits are essential - you are walking around with a deep wound that will fester. The suture kit is the only thing you can use to fix the wound before it festers. The festering can be fixed but needs the more advanced benches for tonics and pills and more levels. The pastes are limited. Bandages for the shallow wounds (like you get from ordinary wolves).

Did you set your spawn point on your bed and it was sheltered? Thatch is easily damaged by the weather. If your bed is gone, it could be that the roof was damaged letting the weather in on your bed. Thatch has very little use in Icarus. If you have thatch slopes, they are handy to reach hard to get ore node in the caves. They can also be handy helping you get up and down rock faces or onto rocks that you can't jump on to. Wood does the same job and can withstand the weather better. You can pick up any building piece by 'looking' at it and pressing 'Y' - don't know if you have found that yet. Usually streamers don't know as they seldom look down the right hand side of the screen when holding a building piece. Lots of key info there.

That was intense - not only were the worms spitting poison at you, you stood in the fire and set yourself alight!

Also you can fish with the knife and or bow. Just kill them and grab them as they float towards the surface.

I'm sorry you've been having such a hard time, man. However, you chose the worst possible week to start playing, I'm afraid. The devs decided, in their infinite wisdom, to give us a new weather forecasting tool this week...and increase the frequency of the storms to a stupid level to test it. It's been fixed already, though. Second, building in Thatch is a complete waste of blueprint points and time. You would've been further ahead to have hollowed out a rock and sheltered from storms in that, as opposed to building with Thatch. If you can you should find a cave. You'll have to deal with the worms that pop up sometimes, even after you've killed them a couple times, they just keep coming back after awhile. You'll also have to deal with pneumonia, most likely. But, until you can unlock wooden structures, it'll be better than Thatch and spending most of your time repairing. I didn't see all of the blueprints you've got unlocked, but I did see some of them. You've unlocked, from the look of it, the bow, stone arrow, stone knife, repair hammer, campfire, bed roll, small wooden chest, the oxidizer, and the drying rack. Did I miss anything? You're going to need a torch. I would suggest the rag torch to start with. You're also going to need to build your workbench. And to unlock it, if you haven't already. Then you can concentrate on getting all of the wooden building structures unlocked. If you fancy starting over I would suggest your first unlocks to be bed roll, campfire, and knife. Your second set would be bow, stone arrow, and oxydizer. I would unlock the medium wooden crate next, and the workbench. Then start working on building those. However, it's up to you, of course. That's just general advice. It's been a long time since I was on that end of the levels, so I may not be remembering things the best. Any way you slice it, I hope you don't judge Icarus too harshly based on this week. This week, as I mentioned, was a fluke, and just really bad timing. I hope you'll give it another chance.

I felt for you and decided to start a new character with no workshop gear in open world Styx and 4hrs in I'm level 16 and just built a stone 2x2. Here's a guide to achieve this. First thing to unlock is bow, stone arrows and knife. Hold down your f key and pick up everything (destroy what you don't want) while you are running around to find wolf and jaguars. Kill and skin predators, you get the most xp from them. Unlock bandage and suture kit and craft max bandages then destroy and repeat (while you're killing everything that moves). Do not unlock thatch. Unlock bone knife and arrows asap (highest priority for damage and yield). Cloth armour is good imo, and I unlock this next. Unlock large wood crate and place them in caves and mine them while there are storms. In between killing you're hitting stone, cutting trees and placing piles somewhere you can come back to pick up later. Small fire and bed roll plus a torch (torch maybe would have been after bow)next n place the cave youre mining. I have a bed roll, fire and large chest in each cave I've mined, crafting gives exp so all is good. As for talents you want damage power so if you use bow like me first point goes to bow agility then increase arrow damage x3points then increase arrow damage 2 3x points, with this you can 1 hit stealth kill all low level predators as long as they are not in alert mode. Next perks I work on are ready to work, chase em down, robust explorer and swift survivor. As for solo perks it's stamina and health tree. Once you get crafting bench unlocked, the most important thing is the long bow! Once you have this and bone arrows, with cloth armour and a torch lite on your hip you can go to the snow and kill snow wolf's and skin them, you will level up extremely quick as the exp is massive from killing and skinning them. Just be sure to leave the Arctic every few minutes to reset the cold timer. I promise you will be level 16 in 4 hrs and the game will be a breeze for you now on in.

You can dig into rocks for shelter. It may be an idea to make some mini caves in a few rocks the put stuff.

You will know if the lightning hits your house - it's the burning roof and walls that's the give away!

To upgrade you need to have the relative item in your inventory, so wood wall in your inventory, for example, to upgrade a thatch wall. You have the hammer bit correct though. When building, support is a thing. Building pieces without enough support will break and you will lose that item if you don't pick it up before it breaks (Y). A good tip is to rebind your 'drop item' key from 'Q' to something a good distance from the other keys you use.

When you have made a torch, put it in the 'L' slot on the left of your hotbar. You can have the torch lit while leaving your hands free.

Give it a week - the devs will hopefully fix this hot mess of a weather system which they introduced in last weeks patch. It may also be worth considering starting on the Olympus map. Styx was never meant to be an easy map. Hop onto Olympus, get some levels under your belt. I would recommend at least level 10 where stone building becomes available and get the blueprints for the 4 main stone pieces (post, floor, wall and roof plus whatever you need to make them, eg iron nails in the anvil) then re-assess your feelings about the game.

i understand when you start at lv0 there is a lot that need to learn but unlock wood floor and wall asap. also don't underestimate bone sickle. it turn from 12 fiber from harvest to 40-50. a lot of time saving.
