hi andy how come you have stopped with the videos, you did some good content
Hi, i have moved to Deux-Sèvres region and i am struggling to find decent carp venues and rivers. Please can you help. I have a carte de peche national and i cant find a guide anywhere online on where to fish or night carp areas.
Great video mate, and what a fish at the end 🔥
Brilliant little Vid Very good angling 👍
Loving the videos mate heading to the charente for 1 week tomorrow, what's access like to the night fishing spots? Can you drive the van down to the waters edge or is car park and barrow job?! Keep up the videos mate. Thanks
Need you back on the bank
Where are you matey
Great editing brother 👊💪 i loved it! What a beautiful full scale 💥
Oi oi where are you mate, pits is my memory place, love the place fished it since it had no trees on the splits
Hi mate are you still active 😂, miss your a1 pit kids amongst others
Looks like a flooded field.
Holding up*
How the rods holding ? What a 8ft river carp rod
Good watch great fish
Fox eos 10ft 3lb tc are way better quality,£53 on e any free delivery💪
brilliant session, welldone :)
Very well done with the go pro maté excellent footage
Absolutely marvellous angling mate plus tactics🙏 never done stalking really but after seeing this it's made my mouth water ✌
Thank you Daniel appreciate that. Seeing carp feeding on your bait in the margins is well, there is no better way to fish so exciting especially if your lucky enough to hook one. Not done as much this last couple of years due to the lakes being so busy now.
Fantastic video ,thank you very much
Thank you for the kind words and taking the time to watch and comment 👍 X
Very, very, good video
Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment thank you 👍
Good to see you back on the bank. Hope to see a few more. Good vid.
Thanks Iain appreciate that 👍
Thought you’d packed up fishing it’s been that long dude 😂
No chance mate I’ve been a bit busy had a boat to sell so just been late autumn really.
Wow, absolutely beautiful fish Jay, and as always great angling an great content, ive missed your blogs pal, look forward to seeing the next one, take care an all the best Jay, tight lines 🎣🎣🎣
Thank you Dave appreciate the kind words and support. Hope your doing ok. We will have to get out with mister picker
Great video really enjoyed that , thanks 👍🎣
Thank you Peter for taking the time to watch and comment appreciate that 👍
Nice to see you back buddy😀 brilliant tactics and application and good angling skills on proper mesters water👊 your the man
Thank you Daniel appreciate the watch and support. Definitely made up with the mirror 👍
Welcome back, always enjoy your video blogs.
Thank you appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment 👍
Nice one mate always watch your vblog really enjoyed that underwater one you did with your gopro any chance of seen of that again p.s. keep up the good work
Thank you Dave appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Used to do a lot of stalking at the pits but it’s so busy now it’s difficult to get on the fish in the margins. You need a good depth in the margin but not too deep for the filming, limits the swims you can use
Nice one mate always watch your vblog really enjoyed that underwater one you did with your gopro any chance of seen of that again p.s. keep up the good work
Good video blog mate always what you what day when you did a bit of underwater
Good one mate
Good one mate

Every shot was very well framed your frames in the shots was fantastic some belting fish very well done 👏
Thanks guys appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. As you know it’s time consuming filming and editing so feedback is always appreciated by us very small channels. 👍
👍👌🙏
Are you reeling in when the boats go by ?
Hi mate I normally only fish overnight so not normally a problem. If I’m fishing washing line style I will only put them out just before dark
@@waitingfortheweekend2441 thought so , it’s a method I use myself on the Lot , I’ll be back on the Charente in April and May , may see you on the bank tight lines
@@bashab3098 yes hopefully back out beginning of may myself good luck mate 👍
Enjoying these and learning a lot
Thank you mate appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment 👍
Bonjours, peut-on changer les diodes de couleur ? Merci
ive owned fully telescopic rods in the past and they weren't very good. how do these compare.
Pukka matey, great lil vlog you done there , some lovely captures to well angled , if the flows causing problems and no boat traffic try washing line set up it's a game changer
Thank you mate appreciate that. Boat traffic is prohibitive during the day but I only fish the nights so not too much of a problem. If you look out for my 2020 film I start to use the washing line method. 2021 sees me catching my first river 40. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 👍
Morning Jason your videos are great I particularly like the A1 pits vids as I used to fish them years ago , now I'm not a carp angler but prefer to fish for the huge bream that I know used to inhabit pit four ,my question is ,are they still there and is lake four worth fishing for them cheers Jason 👍 oh I've just bought a sonic recon 8 footer on the strength of having a short set up rod handy in the car ,a brilliant rod and I can't believe how light and slim it is brilliant 😁
Thank you John appreciate that mate. Takes a lot to do the filming the way I do so it’s nice to hear your kind words. Pit 4 always suffers the most when the complex floods as there is a culvert behind it underneath the railway line which seems to flush out a lot of fish, carp included. I have used maggots quite extensively on the pits in recent years and have caught very few bream. I used to fish the pits in the late nineties and early 2000’s and can remember when they drained pit 6 and removed most of the bream and put them into 4. I think most of them fish have probably passed now. The rod is very good for close in work seems a little stiff for a start but you can bend right into it when you get a good double /twenty hooked up. Enjoy your fishing mate👍
@@waitingfortheweekend2441 marvellous reply Jason thanks for the info that really helps me a lot ,I remember the 90,s up to about 2006 when I fished it a lot and I've gotta say I had some fantastic times and caught loads and I'd catch all sorts ,I visited recently first time for years and found it rock hard !! a shame as I always loved the pits ,but I love watching how you approach the margins and your success and the fish are awesome , keep at it Jason 👍
Nice video, but if you’re considering weight saving by using 8ft rods why are you using massive bucket spool reels .
I’m not bothered about the weight so much it’s the pack down side of the rods. The 8 ft recons are tiny. The reels are what I had and the Diawa 5000t is not a big heavy reel for a “big pit reel” it’s quite compact. The other reason is I use a 20lb reel line and don’t like the way it comes off a baitrunner size reel. That’s not on the cast but just dropping in the margins and laying down some slack it coils badly
@@waitingfortheweekend2441 Fair enough. I’ve been using 20lb line for years now for my Thames carp/ barbel fishing and found my present line,Fox Soft Steel , is by far the most supple low memory mono I’ve used.
id say 70% of ALL the carp i’ve caught at ALL venues have been within 10ft of the bank + my go to bait is a single piece of pop up corn with a couple of small handfuls of free offerings and a couple of handfuls of trout pellets 👍,good angling man👍.
Thank you mate appreciate the watch and you taking time to comment
Excellent video thank you , first fifteen minutes on the Lot pod and three rods disappeared into the depths after an hour of panic stricken thrashing about managed to get all my gear back , the moral is nail them to the bank I use bungee's and loooong pegs , France is amazing
Wow mate would be crying if that happened to me it’s 20 ft deep a rod length out not sure I would get anything back if they took the lot. Just got back from this years adventure 04;30 in the morning a 100lb catfish pulled me in off a 5 ft high bank head first. Thought it was a bream as it didn’t know it was hooked and swam right at me. Didn’t slacken off the clutch and half way in it realised what was happening and took off pulling me clean in 😳
Treat yourself to an unhooking mat and a plastic bucket to fill with water for the sake of the fish.
Very good review, thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment 👍
Very good review, clear and consise, I was looking at the korum river tripod, but this looks more versatile and study, I will buy one for my barbel fishing on the trent, as sometimes you cannot get a ba k stick in thanks for the review
Thank you mate. Although they have gone up in price since I did the review they are still very good value for what you get. Very sturdy and adaptable but obviously a bit more bulky and heavier than the Korum offering. You will not be disappointed in your purchase
Hi, great video. Where roughly on the river Charente was you fishing ? I’m off over to St savienne in my camper and looking for a good part of the Charente to fish. Any info would be really appreciated. Thanks.
Hi warren not sure where that is is it the correct spelling? I’ve fished mainly from saint savinien to sainte but have looked at the river all the way up to cognac
@@waitingfortheweekend2441 Hi, Thanks very much for the response. Sorry it is Saint Savinien I’m going to. Is there plenty of spots to fish from a camper van along there that you know ? Or any locations / info would be highly appreciated. Thanks Warren.
@@warrenhilton6553 depends what kind of fishing you are looking for. From saint Savinien to the sea it is tidal. The river is not very accessible from there to Saintes mainly farmers fields completely tree lined along the rivers edge. There is a section of night fishing just on the outskirts of saint Savinien where you have off road parking and the banks are quite low. It is on the opposite bank to where all the camper vans park it is quite wide but not too deep loads of carp but a lot of small ones. Let me know a bit more about how serious you want to carp fish and what your looking to get out of it days only or a session night fishing and do you have a dingy and I can point you in the right direction. How far from Savinien do you want to roam as well
@@waitingfortheweekend2441 Hi, Thanks very much for all the info really appreciated. I’m now in saint savinien and been for a drive down to where all the campers park on the bank, that looks ideal for me is that a good spot for carp? I’d also like somewhere more rural like in your video where I can do 2-3 nights. I’ve not brought my dingy unfortunately, but I’m interested in catching a good size carp but to be honest it’s the first time fishing in France so I will be happy just catching my first French carp 🇫🇷 🎣 Thanks again, you’ve earned another sub 👍 Thanks. Warren.
@@warrenhilton6553 hi mate yes there are plenty of carp there but a lot of smaller ones if you go on the other side to the campers that’s were the night fishing is and the banks are a lot lower to the water. Head up to the end we’re the river splits on the corner. If you head into Saintes there is another night fishing section that has a limestone road running alongside it for about a mile you will probably need Google earth to find it though. You could also head upto chaniers across from the camping is night fishing. Also a couple of miles further up there is another section which is above the lock decent dirt road with nice banks
Which pit if any would you suggest for a day or 24 hour session? I've been carp fishing for nearly ten years so just getting back into it
Hi mate any you see fish on but the easier ones to find fish are 2,3,4 as they get in the margins and show very well especially pit 3. First choice would be 3 it’s got the most fish
@@waitingfortheweekend2441 thanks for the info mate. What's the weed and depths like on pit 3 and 4? Any features I should look out for? Thanks again
@@BossTweed69 hi mate no weed in 4 and they have treated 3 this year as that could get a bit weedy especially A1 end. Both lakes are fairly deep 16-20ft but there are plenty of shallow areas especially the margins that are worth a look on both lakes. No bars on 3 but there are a few humps on 4 but the margins are best or zigs or in the deep if the weather is right
Dont buy they are shit
Stumbled across your channel while doing some research into Pit 6, great content and subscribed👍🏻 I’m a local lad that has fished the pits before but avoided 6 so far. I’m unfamiliar with the peg names but wanted to pick your brains as to where the best positions are to reach the bars out towards the middle? Many thanks
Hi mate it will depend on your casting ability the only real bank is the 5-6 split bank but it is around 140 yards to the first bar and 165 to the second, there are 4 in total. You can access the end of the first two bars from the railway bank from peg 2 and 3. The best peg when the water is a little lower in august onwards is the one they call the bin swim as you can wade about 20 yards out onto a shallow area in front of the swim which brings the first bar to between 28-30 wraps out. This is the middle of the split bank
@@waitingfortheweekend2441 thanks mate, that is honestly really useful information. I know obviously the most important aspect is spotting shows to build up a picture but I just wanted a rough idea of what bars are accessible from different pegs and you’ve certainly answered that👍🏻
@@waitingfortheweekend2441 Pit 6 will be my first range fishing campaign so I will soon learn what distances I can comfortable fish at👍🏻
