Yes, the people in Brooklands look out for each other from what the residents were saying but also have their challenges as any place that lacks basic necessities.

Not bad as it’s said to be although I did not go everywhere and I was only there for a short time. What I loved was the people are so real with each other and very open about how they feel. They are resilient despite their challenges and look out for each other although this depended on the area you lived as you heard from some residence. All in all was an interesting place to visit and made me appreciate life more . Thanks for always watching.

@ I also heard about how grim the place is in terms of crime and substance use, but like you said every place has the good and bad, and we all see things differently 🤷‍♀️

@ that’s what media shows us but I believe visiting a place like I did makes you to see and feel the realities of a place and its people. That way you can then make your own conclusion. For me I felt the people were so lovely and amazing. Very resilient and trying to improve their community despite all the negativity. I also appreciated more of what I have in my life. Will be interesting to re-visit in the future especially to see how the new community hub is helping the locals.

@ my son he’s a big dreamer and I always tell him you will one finish college first one step at a time, he’s actually a big boy now he’s taller than his dad older brother myself he’s taller than the whole family 🤣 he’s learnt how to cook and I’m so proud of him it’s all taken a while but we getting there, my bestie always says he’s come a long time but I always say one step at a time patience is everything I mean he started talking at 7yrs old he was diagnosed in Canada when their dad was living there for a a few years but now he’s talking too much he has to report everything to me Mummy I’m going to have a piss mummy I’m going to have a dump and I say papa please just go 🤣🤣🤣 he’s tells me he loves me 500times if I don’t respond it’s a PROBLEM but you know what I adore him he’s still antisocial when he turned 18 last year he told me “mummy I have a confession, I’m ready to break my virginity” 🙈🙈🙈 I said excuse me why don’t you tell daddy not me he was still walking around with his boxers at 18 I said mummy what am I supposed to do I wouldn’t even know where to look 😅😅😅 but he’s innocent, I had to get him two gowns he’s dad suggested it so he has a gown up and down stairs bcoz he’s too old to be advertising TOO MUCH I said you going to make God punish me and make me blind for seeing too much 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
