The Best Techniques for Growing Sweet Potatoes in a Raised Bed
I use this in my greenhouse with plugs. Its wonderful!
I am a fan. Just started it this year as a test but will be using it from now on Thanks for watching
Pot growers have been using this for years. Get "plant grade" molasses to help the micorhizzae and ground biology bloom
Terrific suggestions. Thank you.
Thank you. Thanks for watching
I agree with marigolds.. highly underrated flowers in the garden! They are absolute work horses!
What kind of fertilizer is right for blooming? High Phosphorus?
Yes. Phosphorus promotes blooms.
@@TADAGreenhouseandNursery Thanks!
Thank you!! I’ll try this next year. Texas 9a.
Thanks for watching
Try them from a different supplier. I started with the exact ones you had, Baker Creek, and got the same results. Switched to a different supplier with a certified germination tag on the seed bag and have had 90 to 95% germ. You're definitely doing it right on your end.
Thank you. I will look for a different supplier
I cannot get this sugar daddy variety of dwarf snap pea to grow well for me here in Michigan zone 6A. I tried growing it indoors over the winter The plants were lethargic & got sickly right as they were ready to start producing pods, so I pulled them out. Then back in early spring I sowed 12 seeds in a 17 gallon bucket & only 3 germinated, one died off right away leaving only 2. Today I harvested my 1st pod & it was just so so. My other pea varieties at the same time grew huge, & set a lot of pods on them. Peas are a crop we can easily have good success with here, so I don't know if it comes down to the source of the seed or the variety. I only bought the seeds to begin with because I was curious to see if there was a dwarf snap pea that is even more productive & tasty than the sugar Ann has been for us. The sugar Ann grows vigorously, flowers weeks before the sugar daddy, & the pods are sweeter. I plan to sow all of the sugar daddy seeds I have left for fall & won't be looking to grow it again. Then this coming winter I plan to grow some of the sugar Ann peas & save seeds.
😍😍😍😍
Good video 👍
Good video 👍
So we just smack it around a little bit? Cool. I have a tree that won’t wake up.
Yeah I doubt it works. Some plants just need more time. My 5 varietal graft pear won't wake up. I pulled it out of the soil and see that its root had been very aggressively cut back. 3 or so half inch roots chopped off. So I have cut the stems way back so there is less trunk to wake up. I had planted it in its wood chips and paper wrap so did not notice before this problem.
Awesome video thank you so much ❤
Thank you for watching
Good short
Monterey BT and fertilizer every 7 to 10 days and yes water. Also buy Proven Winners petunias 😂 they’re the best hands down.
I start my petunias for seeds
molehills are a great source of soil for free also.
👍
great video really helped me out
Good video 👍
Very informative!
Okay, gotta admit. Didn’t hit thumbs up until you showed the tree beat video😀
1k sub
😂😮
I've asked this question on several other platforms, and no one had answer back yet. WHEN DO YOU START THE SLIPS BEFORE TRANSPLANTING THEM IN THE GROUND? I live in zone 8b.
I staring mine March 1st in the pot like you seen in the video then take the cutting 1 month to root in before planting in the garden. I plant first week on June North Alabama zone 7A. Thanks for the question I hope this helps and thanks for watching
@@TADAGreenhouseandNursery so it's too late to start them now?
No. You can plant them anytime it’s warm. Start them. What zone are you in. I have planted sone in late August and they did great.
Hmm. I have always Rooted like my Family has done. Put tooth picks or Wooden Stick, very small one and put them In a Jar of water. Hmm. Gonna have to try that.
I did it that way before also. This has been easier for me. Thanks for watching
@@TADAGreenhouseandNursery Well I will give that a try. Thank Ya
Awesome video very interesting
Good video 👍
Amazing video sir!
Thank you.
😂
Love this information! Thank you! I started propagating last year and was able to successfully root several Incrediball hydrangeas!
Thanks for watching. It is fun to get them to root in and able to expand you landscape.
Epson salt is great great
That’s awesome! Thank you! I’ve been looking for an alternative to magnesium supplements
Your welcome. Thanks for watching It works really great
Any recommendations on fertilizer?
I use jacks 20-20-20 in the greenhouse Which is a water soluble mix
Great idea!
Thank you. Thanks for watching
I need help lol. I did all this. Germinated them in a heat pad in my basement. 2 four foot lights on 24/7 and they germinated and looked just like yours. Well, Its been a month and they have not grown one bit since germination. I removed the lid and changed the lighting to 18/6 and turned the heat pad off. My basement is a constant 62 degrees. Why did they stop growing? I mean they are literally an 1/10th of an inch high and are nice and green but just stopped growing. Thanks for the Video.
Have you fertilized them. After about 2 weeks I start add fertilizer in the water Not much nutrients in seed starting mix if any at all. Give that a try and see if that kick them in gear
Those looks great! What kind were they? And what kind of fertilizer do you use?
Beauregard. They are in compost didn’t add any fertilizer. Thanks for watching
The Early girl is a great tomato
I do have those and agree.
I live in North Carolina for most of my life. I lived in Tennessee when my petunias die off the seeds fall into my pot and they grow the next year. There is no starting them over because they do that on their own. They have done that on their own every year, you don’t have to worry about starting new petunias They are perennial😘
True. We sell hanging baskets from the greenhouse as we haven’t save seeds. Thanks for watching
Any help on why my soil is still wet after a week?
Is it under a light ? On a heating mat? Do you have excess water in the bottom tray? Did you use see starting mix or what would did you use? Look at these.
Thank you for the reply. Yes it's under light. Not on a heating pad, used seed starter, no excess water. Been putting them in the sun as much as I can. I put some cut fabric in the drain holes to help wick water away. It's kind of working..
nice greenhouse , I have black water barrels in my greenhouse makes a big deference with heating .. The old film I took off was 8 years old and in good shape, be using it again on the hog panel hoop house this spring .
Awesome
I need to add the black water barrels to mine
How should I set the little vent holes on the cover? Open? Closed? Half & half?
Start closed. After the germinate go to half. After a week of half remove the dome
on board
I decided to subscribe once I heard the tag line “ you grow it, you know it”. I love it! Thanks for the petunia advice
LOL. Thanks for watching and subscribing
It's 33 degrees this morning in Garland Texas
36 here.
Your greenhouse looks great
Thank you.
Very very informative video thanks for sharing keep it up.
Thank you.
Dude your content is criminally underrated. As a gardener myself i would love to see more content from you, keep it up man, youre doing great 😁
Thank you. And thanks for watching
How do you keep the deer out of your garden???? We have so many hungry ones!!
I leave the radio on in the greenhouse which is by the garden. Have a fence around it so far so good. We are covered up with deer. I’m surprised they don’t get in it. They do eat our hydrangeas quite often I also plant fields in the back for the hoping they will stay out.
Hey thanks man 💪
Thank you.
I wish you could come to my house and help me get setup like you are!! I have 5 raised beds a small greenhouse a vertical planter but I know I’m not being sufficient in what I’m doing.
Stay at it and keep learning you will get there. It takes time but you will get there. I am starting a series on Seed to Harvest. A short will be up tonight. If you have any question please just ask I will help in any way I can.
