Mister Botato (formerly known as Baburs) is an esteemed member of EPIC Tribe, a prominent psychedelic culture, music, and art collective in Malaysia. He also serves as a label Chillout DJ for Trimurti Records and holds a residency with Belantara Gathering.
Known for his captivating performances, Mister Botato excels in delivering uplifting daytime sounds and mesmerizing night rhythms through his Full-On Psytrance sets. I was invited to play at Moon Mountain Xmas 2023 Edition (Thailand), but I had to withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances. I was supposed to play an 8am slot and this mix reflects the energy I had planned to bring to the dance floor.

Hi. Thanks for putting BPM. There are certain tempos that are in tune with the harmonics of the human body. 120 BPM, 136BPM and 144BPM: These 3 tempos are in tune with a moderately exercising heart beat which means that people are more able to dance for a long period without them collapsing on the dance floor. Each of these tempos are also in tune with a different rainbow colour and each colour represents different chakras. It is a very exact science. You need a 303 because high frequencies stimulate the mind and not low drum sounds as one would imagine...... different sorts of trance I guess.... Do you write your own music? And do you play out?...
Thanks for sharing! That's interesting to know. I personally like those ranges because I feel I can move better when I'm dancing but that's just me. I don't write my own music unfortunately. Maybe not yet, who knows. I do play out but it has been quite a while since lockdown and all. My next confirmed gig is in Thailand for Christmas. Super excited for that one!
