Very sad no part 2
Coming out very soon, sorry for the delay!
Thank you just can across you video and enjoyed it
@colintwist2686 I'm glad, currently in production and will be out ASAP!
Great video, thanks for taking the time to share. Apologies if you already know about them, but you should check out (healthy) peat bogs. An ecosystem run by moss for moss
Definitely will, thanks for the suggestion! New moss video out soon!
Great job! We're about to order the same pre-formed pond so this was very helpful.
I'm glad you found it handy, good luck with the pond!
Thanks for the video, I have just started a moss terrarium to very helpful
Good luck with your terrarium, glad I could help somewhat
Great video, really informative and explains why some of the unsuitable moss I've tried has failed in my own terrariums.
Glad it helped, nothing like trial and error!
You are SO lucky to live there and have all that wild moss… everyone wants to move here (LA, California) but I hate the weather and that moss is almost nonexistent here. I honestly never saw the appeal. I’d kill to live somewhere that can produce all that moss
The moss is always greener on the other side. Appreciate your environment and do what you can with the resources available there..... or move for the moss
Fabulous video, exactly what I was looking for 👍🏻 Love your passion for these beautiful micro landscapes.
Micro scenery 😍
Moss, lichen, fungi are in their own dimension, fascinating to imagine how they grow and move, breathe and regenerate! I like the idea of moss on rooftops to help create energy from the sun :)
Definitely fascinating!
What are the best books you recommend on mosses in the UK, and maybe elsewhere too? Thanks for the answer.
I dont know any books, get out there, get your hands dirty and identify that stuff!!
Thanks Griff, really instructive.
Thank you, glad you found some informative info!
Lovely video mate. About to start a terrarium of my own and this was just the sort of inspirational vid Iv been looking for (uk based Moses) and what sounds like some great experience based info Thanks
Glad you found some helpful info and hope the terrarium turned out ace
hell yeah , moss people fall in , ha
✊️
This is a fantastic video thanks! I'm looking to make some terrariums for my birthday and this is well inspiring!
Definitely have a go at the terrariums, such room for creativity, hope u had a good bday 🎉
Hi, great video thanks, did you ever do an update or part 2?
Part 2 coming soon😁
Hi, did you ever make a part 2? Thanks
you have done a really impressive install, is there a part 2? Thanks
Part 2 coming soon 😄
Really awesome scapes! I know feeding the fish is fun, but the pea puffer looked like he had his fair share of food allready! ^^ Make sure not to overfeed! That said beautifull scapes 9.5 out of 10 ^^
Thank you very much! You are totally right, I think the pea puffer would keep eating until he exploded, greedy little things...
Looks great! I'd say the Hedera is going to take over the whole bottle. It'd be cool to see how this would become as time passes. I'm also very interested in the moss you found in your own area; How it'd affect the vegetation over time. Excited!
I try and do occasional updates to show these terrariums are not just temporary pieces so super excited to see how this grows too! It's the reward for making them. I'm hoping the ongoing war of plants will take place here and mean no one species takes over. We will have to wait and see!
Some of the moss species I used have also been featured in a previous moss-based episode. Check it out if you want to see more of the moss near me!
Nice setting. A piece of jungle indeed
Glad you like it!🌱
Good terrarium 10/10
Thanks very much!
Nice
Thank You! Love Spring.
Hi ,new subscriber here. I really like your new pond. My pond is above ground but I like yours better. It looks very natural. Well done. 😊
Thank you! Great thing about ponds is that they are always changing and getting better with time. Also amazing for wildlife so the aesthetic is really just a bonus.
This is really cool man! subbed for future content :)
Thank you! Got an awesome terrarium on the way, I think you'll love it.
Super nice job!
Thank you 😊
Very nice work! Beautiful
Appreciated, looking forward to showing part 2 and how everything has grown in!
Très belle composition Merci.
👍
Great video. Amazing
Thank you, glad you enjoyed! All of March and April highlights coming next week. Over 30 British species...
Camera quality is great. Nothing better than waking up to the morning chorus, can't stop thinking of you with the mozzy net on your face though haha #BugsLife
Not sure it was the morning chorus or morning cold 🥶😂
just subscribed 🎉🎉
Thank you. More pond content on the way!
śliczne,,
Dziękuję bardzo! Glad you enjoyed 😁
Nice vid. Looks like the jungle is escaping out of the vase, beautiful stuff
Your paludarium in particular caught my eye... I saw these vases for sale last year and I really wish I'd bought one. I rarely see them for sale now and if I do, they're miles away 😪 Really nice setups! 😍
Glad you like them. I had the same thing once and so if I see one I like now I usually get it there and then to avoid missing out.
@@griffinnature Yeah same, I planned to get the vase just in case I ever needed it and they discontinued shortly after. I'll keep looking though. They do a new one now that looks like a Lego head, but it's not as nice.
@superjaz1 I also bought the lego head one 😂😂😂 stay tuned for that scape tomorrow! Yeah I managed to pick the large vase up for £12 after being £40 for months, bargain.
@@griffinnature 🤣🤣 Look forward to seeing the scape!
I loved it
Very informative video ,are any of the moss species edible to humans and ifso, have you tried any ?
Personally, I wouldn't eat any species of moss (I don't think it would be that tasty) My main use for moss is terrariums! Many species of moss are edible to humans though with the correct identification and knowledge.
Nice jungle vibes 👌
Thank you, that's exactly the look I was aiming for😁
Could you tell me who did the maths for the volume of waste which would come from the hole as it seemed grossly underestimated? Looks great by the way 👍
Thanks very much! No maths was done, probally the reason why we had to get 3 1.5 tonne bags. First time doing something like this so I would agree that the volume of dirt was definitely underestimated
@@griffinnature Bear in mind that as you're digging it up, you're loosening the soil. It's no longer packed, so the volume of dirt removed is always greater than the volume of the hole created.
I love it❤️, Keep up the good work man. Can't wait to see more❤️
Thank you very much! Lots more on the way+
Your paludarium looks awesome. You also did a great job with the video, loved watching it.
Thank you very much!
Great job looks like it was professionally installed!!
Thanks, I guess only time will tell how everything works out now...
Looks great!
Thank you so much!
Great video, I am looking forward to part 2 :)
Thank you, I am also very excited to add some fish and bring it to life!
Wonderful corner...... So natural and stylish....... Nice job.....
Thank you so much 😊
Brilliant video! Love moss
It's the best isn't it 🙌
Awesome scape, you did a great job 😊
Nice voice tho😆 love to hear ur accent😆
Love ur pladium. Idk what the difference tho with terrrium. But its cool♥️ make more video pleasee!!!
Thanks so much! I would highly recommend giving one a go. The material cost for mine was probably under £30 which was achieved through bargain hunting and resourcefulness. A terrarium generally refers to an environment with just land and plants. A paludarium also incorporates a water feature and merges both land and water. Kind of similar to a riparium style with emersed plant growth and marginal plants. Glad you enjoyed😁
Awesome, I'm gonna make a palladium in a few month once my home has been renovated, I've got a 10 gallon which I will then install an auto water rain system, FULL jungle baby!
Awesome, let me know how it goes. 😀
The Jungle corner looks so natural. Cheers
Just put springtails in there for cleaning up the terrarium 🙂
Great suggestion, I will definitely be starting a culture for them.
impressive! 🧡
Thank you! 😊
