I use LMMS and there is a preset named e razor under Triple Oscillator instrument . Sound is very good very close to electric guitar .

Half of these sound like complete ass or need to buy a $200 program in order to function.

Amazing job, respect, very useful! Some remarks: 1) Time-stamps may be handy, for reference, 2) some VST have far more and (very) different sounds, so the short impressions may not do them justice, 3) I think there are three groups, a) acoustic drums VSTs, b) EDM-kit VSTs and c) mixed ones. I think viewers predominantly are interested in one or the other. So it might be handy to group them in that respect, and 4) are they 32-- or 64-bits?. In my previous 32 bit DAW I had a very useful VST, DrumKit1. I tried at least 11 of the list.
