@IsaacMaduro It’s easier if you have open shield wing on toggle, but you want to press jump and then shield wing button right after. In other words you should be activating your shield wing before Aloy gets to the apex of her jump.

I restarted after the Eclipse base. Very Hard now seems easy. Just Murdered my way through it now. It seems when you aim on UH, they move n jiggle about so you miss alot. VH, shots hit perfectly as how you aim. "BLAM!" Headshot!!! Dead! What took me 4-5 days to do on UH, was 1.5 hours play on VH. It is Unplayable in Ultra hard from the start. I know I'm a good player. But it is just too much. The basic machines are solid to kill. Shots miss all the time, doing 10hp at most when you do hit. Humans need 6-8 headshots to kill in UH. Just far to ridiculous. I'm now really enjoying Very Hard. I should've listened.

@@EpicGamerNico It is such a difference. UH is way OP. 6 arrows stuck in the Eclipse guy's face. Not even fazed him. Even when you target a weak spot, they just move as you fire so you miss. And even a hit, takes "10hps" off. Unplayble. Now when I restarted, I flew through it. Running a Burrowers head on.. "Crunch!- - - Bang!" DEAD!!!! A knock down with Heavy blow from Spear, then critical strike! Job Done! It feels so easy now, I'm buzzing!!! I feel "Lethal and Deadly !!!"

@carljhirst Umm… if it’s doing 10 hp you’re probably hitting the armor. In Forbidden West enemy’s actually have proper helmets and armor. In Zero Dawn they were just cosmetic.

Yes, you need to start gliding like right after you begin jumping (she should still be lifting herself off the ground when you are holding to glide). I like to use toggle for this as I can just press both jump button and glide to do it easily.

Uhh, your’re welcome…but I was using the base hunter bow with no handling or concentration… Not to be annoying but… that might just be a skill issue :P I definitely missed the guy several times in the clip because of RNG though but a lot of 3rd person games have that accuracy spread mechanic

@@EpicGamerNico I never had these issues when playing Forbidden West. I played HFW first then played HZD after. Aloy's aim is garbage in Zero Dawn. Maybe this is just part of the developer's design of the game to show that Aloy is a better shot as she gets older and that's why the aim sucks in HZD but is better in HFW??? I don't know. I just find it incredibly frustrating having come from playing HFW to trying to play HZD with her piss poor aim.

I can confirm that it is just a skill issue. You probably wouldn’t feel the same if you played ZD again with the skills you gained along the way 👍

@@EpicGamerNico Well, I have 100% HZD and Frozen Wilds on Very Hard (first play through), went back and replayed the whole game twice on story mode to get more/better coils and weaves and now have a pretty well stacked arsenal of weapons and outfits. It seems to me that adding handling mods to the weapons helps not only with faster reloading and draw speed, but with accuracy and aiming. My 4th play through, now on ultra hard, seems to be going well. Aloy's aim and general bow mechanics seem to be much better. Of course, fully maxed Banuk Adept bows make killing the machines a breeze and a single hard tipped arrow from my Banuk hunter bow one shots pretty much every human enemy in the game. It could be that I just have more time under my belt, but I think the handling mods are making a difference in accuracy. I never added any handling mods to my bows in my first play through. Not enough slots and the bows were pretty weak so I relied on damage mods to buff them.

I must mention the traps did make it easier 💥

I dunno-fire arrows kinda do it all in Zero Dawn.

I’m likely going to do this regardless. But I’ve learned it’s literally impossible to do this on UH so I’ve got an idea to make it a little different.
