Falstaff, a lecherous old knight who is proud of his pot belly, mistakenly believes that Mrs.
Page Meg and Mrs. Ford Alice are interested in him, so he writes them love letters.
Meg and Alice receive the letters and are astonished at the fact that the contents are not only unreasonable, but also that the letters are exactly the same.
Mrs. Quickly and the other women plot to punish him.
Meanwhile, Ford receives information from his servant that Falstaff has written a love letter to his wife Alice, and is determined to get the better of Falstaff.
The plan begins when Mrs. Quickly tells Falstaff...

great performance of a great work that has always been one of my favorite. I am now 86 and want to contribute my only potentially valuable musical accomplishment. It is an orchestration by Gaertner of Bach’s Double Fugue in C# minor for trumpet, baritone horn, trombone, tubs, saxophone and pipe organ. One can hear Bach’s interweave of 8 melodic lines ending in a grand climax. Performed live with other works so orchestrated could bring new understanding and excitement to such difficult for some to hear symphonic works.
