Instructions say, "use common sense". Common sense would've been to use weatherstrip adhesive on the area that didn't have holes instead of the silly drill and socket method! It's a good idea, if you want to nick and gouge your paint like he did. And for the hole near the bend! Why not just cut a relief so it'll still arc up and you can maintain the rigidity of the strip. Again, common sense and some mechanical knowledge makes it look great! Ask me how I know! I'll send pics

That isn't a countersink bit, that's simply a step bit, really handy for drilling large holes in sheet metal, they work very well for drilling holes for grommets like you ordered
