    I was the 2nd oldest in our platoon at 25, so I tried to be a good example. I made my share of mistakes, but nothing serious. Most of our recruits were still in high school, so I think some of them looked up to me. The drill sergeants didn't bother me much. I kept a low profile, under the radar.

    Thanks for the video! I'm applying for my Green Card and I'm 33, hopefully I'll get it, so I'll be able to join! I've wanted to do it since I was a kid! I did a semester of my High School in Texas (Go Farmers!!! hahaha - Lewisville HS!!) and when the recruiters came to my school I was blown away! But I had to come back to Brazil, because of my visa and also, because I got the opportunity to work as a model... I later had the chance to join through the MAVINI program, but at that time I was working a lot as a model and I just felt like it would be a shame to miss out on all that I got to live as such... I eventually got a few working visas that allowed me to apply for a Green Card!... but I've been stuck! I guess with fear I won't be accepted back into the US, because when I first went there I had a tourist visa, with which one should't study:/ but as I mentioned I did... and I also lied about it, when I had the chance to get the work visas... I eventually felt like I should tell the truth, so I called the immigration and told them everything and they said I could continue to apply for a Green Card, but that I had to leave the US to do so... I left in 2016:// and have been struggling to finish my application ever since!:// I guess, with the fear that I won't be able to ever go back!... I know it might not make sense, since by not trying I'm automatically receiving a "no", but I guess deep inside, I prefer to day dream with a possible miraculous "yes", than to actually face a definite "no" which would factually demolish my dream!... Pray for me please! hahaha I hope I overcome this fear and just go for it!... But anyways, once again, thank you for the video!

    I’m wanting to join at an even older age than you did. I’m 35yo currently. I’m currently dropping excess body weight(lard) to be eligible for enlistment. I need to lose at least 181lbs. To do this i will be doing a mostly water fast for 316 days. I will take vitamins and to avoid the nausea from taking them on empty stomach, i will eat 1 Reese’s cup with the vitamin daily. I dropped out of high school in the 9th grade. Immediately got my G.E.D and went to work doing dead end jobs. The past 10 years I have been driving 18 wheelers. I have no kids or spouse. My grandfather served in the Navy during WWII and my cousin served in Army during Desert Storm. I’m undecided on Navy, Air Force or Space Force. Thanks for the informative content. God Bless!

      Hey bro, first, best of luck in you’re journey to cut weight and pursue the military. Second, I would recommend you look up a nutritionist on RUclips for tips on how to lose weight in a healthy way. Only eating one Reese’s cup a day with vitamins and water doesn’t seem like the best way. You will lose the weight, but will also lose strength and I don’t want you to cause yourself any health issues in the process. Thanks for checking out the videos and I’m glad they’ve been informative for you.

      Love to hear this! Is there an age limit to going Airborne that you're aware of? Obviously assuming you're in excellent shape going in and have no issues with the physical standards associated with the school.

    • @mattyuhas5776
      @mattyuhas5776 8 месяцев назад

      @c0smic.Cha0s I defiantly wasn't in steller shape before enlisting. I wasn't to far gone but defiantly could tell I had too many late night fast food eats. The only age limit is 17-35. And once your enlisted and have airborne in your contract you're good. I seen so many young men quit because they couldn't handle it. It really is more mental than physical. Believe me, you don't ever want to quit and go home to your family and tell them that you almost did something great. Embrace the suck. It's so worth it.

      The Army takes recruits up the 34 years old. 35 and older would need to seek an age waiver through a recruiter. He could become an officer if he has a degree, but he would still need to go through Basic Training first. As far as his CIA time goes, it would not count towards his time in the Army. He could continue to collect CIA retirement while being paid by the Army.

Well it was great after leaving not during. Fighting cockroaches and rats in barracks. I kid you not most of us saw a black shadow around in the barracks then one of the soldiers started freaking out screaming trying to hurt himself. He told the MPs that he felt something go inside him. That really happened. 15 of us experience that.
