The lyrics "I will love everyone. I will love the police as they kick the shit out of me on the street" come from Who Needs The Peace Corps. The interviewer presents them as though they are something Zappa held as a belief. He doesn't seem to realise that they are song lyrics which Zappa put in the mouth of a "hippie" at the end of the song and therefore are not to be taken as a first person statement of fact from the mouth of Zappa. It's a send up of the"peace and love" hippie culture of the 60s not , as the interviewer seem to think, some sort of Zen- like statement on Zappa's part.
