Why all the traffic? This is to show it is hard to get to the straight and narrow road. The devil and sinners don't you have an easy path to Heaven. Jesus is the only way!

Good 👏
I loved Trailways miss them so much.
Some on my earliest memories are an occasion I went with my mother to High Point, North Carolina. On our way home, I recall sitting in the rear, on the starboard side in a GM 4104, the purr of that Detroit Diesel at fast idle; and seeing rows of gleaming Trailways buses in their lovely red/ivory trim. The smell of diesel always reminds me of that trip.:) Thanks for sharing.
This is the bus industry I fell in love with...
yes! the good days
Yessir buddy
My Mom, me and my brother and sister used to take them allot from Raleigh to Charlotte NC on weekends to visit my Aunt and cousins who lived in Charlotte at that time back in the late 70's to the early 80's.
I saw some clips from Riding the Dog
There are clips of riding the dog in a Bus Drivers Day which this the short one.. BUS DRIVER DAY is 2 hours long Done by Bob Redden of IBC Jim Lehrer of PBS gave it to Bob and they gave each to use as did Bob other a lot of pictures and video. As did Bob and I
I know where a 1940s trailways bus at
For years I have wondered what a pd 3751 looked like as a Trailways. Thanks for the picture. By the way, my first ride on a Silver Eagle totally destroyed my taste for Greyhound. I really enjoy seeing all these pictures and the memories they bring. GO BIG RED!
Oh yeah I remember they use to say go big red go trailways
Bad video, no real info given, its just a bunch of images
The type of bus, such as GM PD 4104, is superimposed on nearly all photos. So for those of us who are "bus spotters," it's actually a good video.
yeah they did messed it up
no sound that was my favorite video
they just messed it up is what they did
boy liked to music boy was some get down them song boy
reminds me of the good old day when did this take place?
latter half of the 70's.
@@Bushappy nope! Based on the latest style or model of buses and cars this was at least mid 1980’s or later.
This was early 1992

Back in the mid 80's I drove for Carolina Trailways. That was a good job. Loved driving those buses. Carolina Trailways bus number's always started out with the number 85.
I was just starting with greyhound use to run across ya'll fellow operators good luck

man I sure that beat it has bring back memories
what beautiful old busses, look way better than todays plain dull looking busses.
Down town Atlanta george
To be honest from personal experience, many buses are beautiful but the up keep can be very costly and a pain in the ass some times breaking down on the road. Ok your 300 + miles away from home and your bus decide it want to break down and cost you a few hundred dollars. 2 aggravating things your pocket is a bit empty and your a long way from home. The solution, buy a good running suv and for the most, you'll be ok.
Yeah but back then there was no Suv's, and if there was not many people could afford them, so the buses were the way to go, and was reliable i rode them allot and never was stranded on side of the road.
I love these old busses.
thanks
My Dad was aLONG TIME. SAFEWAY OPERATOR (SWT). PHILA., NYC, ATLANTIC CITY. His clothes were always cleaned & had that rigid crease. Always shirt & tie.
I spent 17 years with Trailways. I remember just about all our were neat then I miss toes days. I was Trailways Southeastern
Great Collection of Old Trailways buses! Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Check out my old Greyhound! ruclips.net/channel/UC92A49MjAjCx8al4c_i76Xg

Very good to see a little bit of transport history with the bus lines.
Thanks, good to know
How could you drive one of those buses at night with those pathetically small headlights? It must have been very dangerous.
Those headlights were bright. Plus you can always put on your high beams.
Those headlights are huge compared to the headlights found on buses today.
Love the Suit and Tie. That's Coach Operator Elegance at its best.
+David Almes T
I hope the driver doesn't hit a telegraph post because there is nothing between the drivers head and the telegraph post. Very dangerous for the driver because none of the bus is up there in front of him as a cushion.
WHY YOU GUYS, DO NOT DIG UP THOSE DAYS WHEN TRAILWAYS WAS COVERING ROUTES LIKE GREYHOUND Are Doing TODAY...? GREYHOUND WAS and STILL AIN'T THE ONLY BUS LINES HERE IN AMERICA..! THERE ARE STILL SOME OF US WHO LOVE TRAILWAYS LINES and The MANY DIVISIONAL COMPANIES THRU OUT AMERICA. SHOW THEM:> "PLEASE"....!
You, sir, are a true American, and I like your style! You remind me of a few gentlemen I pick bluegrass music with down here in Louisiana! Long may you live and prosper! Mitch Simon
Bob Sure glad you like this one. I just wish I had more info on Smoky History
Thanks for sharing Gilbert!
Funny the irony in this video. He talks about the Blue Ridge Parkway, but also talks about wasteful government spending in 2009. Guess what. The Blue Ridge Parkway was started and built with funds from the government after the Great Depression to spur jobs and the economy. Obama does the same thing in 2009 and this yahoo has a beef with it. You can't have it both ways, dude.
