Gymnopedie No. 1 [one hour loop] (Satie) | Yamaha Reface CP & Reface CS
A one hour loop of Erik Satie's famous piano piece played on the Yamaha Reface CP and Reface CS synths. This was originally recorded as background music for the LFO section in part 2 of my currently ongoing synths for beginners miniseries (ruclips.net/video/dPgIORPrRps/видео.html).
May be best enjoyed as background music for sleeping, relaxing, studying, homework, casual listening or watching.
I had thought about re-recording it as the beginning is a little rushed and off-sync between the two parts a tiny bit, but sometimes it's best to accept everyday life as it is and just continue walking :)

this game did water levels right, still the same skillful timing and "platforming" (or ig the water equivalent). didnt feel lame or irritating, just well designed. i love these stages i know this comment seems like its not addressing the cover of the song, but it is, you did a really damn good job of playing it that you brought me back to a better time. i find it really neat that you could perform all the different aspects of the song live, because i know this song has some weird sounds in it. did a damn fine job
the whole series had overall great level design. harder than the average platformer like most mario games, but great levels and secrets. thanks so much for the comment and for watching!

What do you think about the mini keys? its hard to play with the mini keys and then go back to the normal?
not so much since i guess i've been used to regular keys for so many years. i got used to the reface keys pretty quickly and thought they felt nice until i tried the keybed on the arturia keystep 37 (and minifreak) and i think i like those better. for full size key synths, fatar keybeds hands down.
@@jngl-jim Nice, one more question, do you know if i got a midi track with notes, can i reproduce them using the cp sounds? Or i have to play them on the cp and recorder from direct line?
@@botizelig the easiest way i can think of is to use a USB MIDI cable connected from your pc/mac and connect it to the MIDI IN of the reface. if you've done any music production before, this essentially treats the reface like a virtual instrument being controlled by MIDI clips in any DAW. and then you can decide from there whether want to just hear the output from the reface's speakers, or do a recording from the line output.
