Hello everyone! Chef warpath here with some cooking receipts! This time we will be doing a mixing preset for hihats, where we will be focusing on the ambient trap genre, with some stylized underground hat selection. You should first select a good clicky in the attack hi hat with a small release preferably, you will also want the hihat to remain into high frequencies only when choosing the sound. After that you want to load a Fruity Reeverb 2 with a good amount of decay but the wetness at 25%-30%. You will decrease the mixing level of the reverb to 75%. You would then proceed to add a Fruity Delay 2, with the time right in the middle, matching a 1:1, and then decrease the feedback and wetness, as well as setting the type of delay to ping pong. You will decrease the mixing intensity to 40%. And then, you would want to add a gross beat, at 3/4 of the customizable line, you would like to make a perfect line going down from the 3/4 to 4/4 on about 25% of height, or just select basic 8 preset from the gross beat pattern presets. This will reverse the hihat at the last bar of 4. You will decrease the mixing volume to 25%. When you are done with this, please, chain the mixing channel of the hi hat to an empty channel, adding a Fruity PanOMatic, increasing the intensity of the mixing to your prefers and the speed to about 75%, you will want to turn it on. And for the mastering, you will lower the volume of the chain to 30% and the main channel to 50%, total of 80%. You will also want to add a Parametric EQ 2 to the main channel and cut some high frequencies in a partial amount. And there we go! You have izaya tiji, jace or whatever you want to call it ambient hi hats.
