I was scrolling by and thought the dude was Clancy Brown for a minute
❤❤❤
Can use heat pump to heat it.
Position of camera behind the man blocks visual of what he is doing! Not so useful. Then there are no detail shots!
Thanks brother, going to do our barn floor that way.
Quick question for you. How thick is your ceiling? I see you 2 36in pipes, but the chimney doesn't pop up nearly that high. Did you use a smaller one inside? Thanks! I'm doing this same package install in the next few weeks.
I think it was about 12". Take a look at this video, starting at about 3:29. It's when I was insulating the ceiling. "ruclips.net/video/NDyZLFDW73g/видео.html" Thanks!
What's the distance between the window frame and outside wall??
In my situation, it's 3.5"
Used to cut them with a brick Hammer before using a saw
They make block for horizontal work
Yep; was just too cheap to buy them. When I build stuff on this channel, it's with very limited funds! Thanks for watching!
Bro, I implore you to at least wear a mask when cutting block !
Pesky little buggers aren't they!
It was pretty warm this past Thursday, and those stinkers were out in force! It was a big topic in town.
Man, you just answered my questions! About to start a 12 x 16 well house. Really wanted to do this but had some questions. You nailed it down for me. Thanks. You got a beautiful place.
Thanks! I did some of this on the gable ends of the garden shed, (in some of the latest videos). It's inexpensive, and looks good.
I bet those chickens were really impressed. Nice job.
just found your channels loving your different topics your covering, anything to keep in mind if doing a boulder retaining wall like this?
Welcome aboard! If you have to buy boulders, tell the supplier that you are building a wall, and that you desire flat ones. It's hard work doing it the way I did. Take your time and don't try to over do and and get too tired; that's when things happen. Biggest flattest ones on the bottom. It's like a puzzle, so you probably have move them around more than once. Hope that helps some.
Another question...Have you had any issues with ice dams forming? We also have a vaulted ceiling and I'm nervous to install the wood stove as someone warned us that a wood stove's heat can cause ice dams on vaulted ceilings due to there not being an attic/increased insulation...
What is an ice dam?
An ice dam is what happens with heat goes up through the ceiling to the roof, where it melts any snow on it, then it refreezes. It can cause other melted snow to back up and go under the roofing, and potentially leak back inside.
@@MIhere2 thank you.
I have quite a bit of insulation in this vaulted ceiling, and I also put high temp insulation in the cathedral chimney box; so I haven't had a problem with ice dams so far.
possible that stores don't sell blocks precast with shape specific for this horizontal use?
Watch the video. In the video I cut standard blocks to the shape I wanted.
@@MIhere2 i saw you doing that and that's exactly why i asked about precast bricks with similar shape to that you created by cutting the bricks with your (diamond?) saw.
Hey there had a question on the exterior chimney pipe to interior stove pipe transition. Getting the same setup from Menards. I am confused as to how the transition occurs with double wall pipe inside the ceiling support box. Do I need a universal chimney adapter as well as a stove pipe adapter?
I used the cathedral ceiling support box, and it came with a clamp type collar that went around the first length of insulated chimney. You clamped and screwed it into the chimney pipe about 6" up. The edge of the collar is what hold the chimney up when you set it in the support box. A stove pipe adaptor, (separate purchase) is then attached to the chimney pipe hanging that 6" down on the inside of building. That's about the best I could describe it.
@@MIhere2 Ok- thanks! I just asked because on pg. 2 of those instructions it references #12 connecting with #18- the stove pipe adapter connecting to the chimney adapter. Maybe that's just for double wall flue pipe? One other question- any tips on how to find the ceiling rafters on a vaulted ceiling (no attic to get into)? First time, so I'm a little nervous trying to figure it out!
Great video. Ill have to do the same to my eves this weekend
Thank you kindly!
I just did this with my hose a couple days ago with no pole. The jet stream was nearly as powerful as a pressure washer and they didn't stand a chance. I probably enjoyed it more than I should have 😂.
Glad it worked out good!
i love my use only from 100 to 500 watts
We're happy with it so far! Thanks for commenting.

Floating frame 👍🤠
Wow, very bold, congrats!
Thanks!
Looks really nice!
Thanks!
Is it really this easy?
I like seeing your chickens in the background! 😃 It looks like a cool building! Lots of character!
Thanks! Yep, the chickens like to hang around thinking I have a treat for them.
Lovely video, I wish you luck in your future endeavors.
Thank you so much!

Corrosion from winter road salts is what happened with mine, and plugged the axle vent. Thanks for commenting!
As a stone mason, I'd like to offer a tip to anyone attempting this. You can take chicken wire and either bolt it on like what is done with the chain here, or use a concrete nailer to nail the wire on. By doing this, the rock will be tied in across the whole wall, not just where the chains are.
Thanks for adding your advice!
Nice work.
Thanks for the comment!
Make it easy on yourself, let the air out of tires to about 15lbs. Tighten tracks up then put air back in. No easier way than that. Smaller machines, Tighten and run about 30psi so rocks and limbs can can go thru. If not, it binds up. Big machines, like my extra 963 bobcat, same way but full air. They are to heavy and you will pop bead off when operating. You can also run the strap under the track to hold it up. Just thought I would help out.
I've watched at least 70 videos on this process and Sir I must say yours is the easiest and not as labor intensive and the others. My confidence in being able to achieving this has shot up 500%. I'm trying your method as soon as the weather breaks. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and skills ❤❤❤😊😊😊
THIS is the video I’ve been searching for. Thank you much, sir!
Glad it was helpful!
Why is home insurance even a thing. If you were to take the money the insurance company steals from you and put it away, you wouldn't need insurance.
Supposedly Insurance is a regulated industry. What's up with that?
I was told by one insurance agent, that some states regulate the percent of increase that an Ins. Co. can raise their premiums per year. Not verified, but was told in California, they can only a 2% (?) per year increase was allowed, so premiums go up a lot more in other states to make up the difference an insurance company wants. Was told State Farm is pulling out of California because of that.
ALL insurance is a racket.
Bought my property 32 years ago and paid it off after 9 years. I gave the insurance companies the double barrel middle fingers at that time and have never looked back. Life is a gamble..end of the day having the eggs in my basket is nice.
It feels good to own property free and clear!!
When are the so call leaders in our country going to investigate these companies. O yeah I forgot they are deeply in bed together
These things can be changed, but it has to start with the people.
Owning your own home the biggest lie you ever heard of eminent domain.
No mortgage no insurance save that money Really insurance wont pay when needed Live scared
We tried shopping around and found that since we're in a "fire zone", we couldn't find a single insurance company that would insure us at ANY price. Despite never having a claim in 40 years with any of the companies we've held insurance with.
Have you found any way to reduce the risk of loss?
@@MIhere2 We have insurance, we just need to stay with the overpriced policy we have.
Well...kinda hard to downsize now!🤔
In our case, they increase the premium rate over 50% of last years, before they even considered the square footage of the addition. When talking to them about the new addition, square footage didn't seem to matter any more. Which was kind of odd....
Try using Agribon directly over the crop and get the heat below the insulation. Don’t try to heat the whole building just the plant beds
Personally, I'd go with the shutter option. I wondered how this method would look, and yes, it looks well all done but I fear it has crack point options. Regardless, you did a good job. But I do feel one piece Vs, making various pieces into one piece would be stronger. I'm glad you have a supportive audience by the way. 👊
The thing we find with our winter greenhouse is that even if you heat it then you don't have enough light to have significant growth between Nov and Feb. You can easily keep things alive that are ready to harvest.
Yep, we found that out too. Especially this winter, it's been so overcast here. We have only been getting a couple of sunny day per month.
Great video using only hand tools. How many square metres was this floor and how many kilos of Portland did you use for that number ofsquare metres?
This is the U.S. It measured 8' x 11', and I used (2) 92 pounds bags of Portland cement. Hope that helps.
Thank you very much sir.
That's creative- using a log chained to pallet forks as a lifting boom! When you don't have help you have to be creative!
Thanks for watching!
Bought the cathedral ceiling kit but didn’t come with roof jack, had to purchase flat ceiling kit to get roof jack, is this a common problem, now I have parts I can’t use! Your video was helpful thank you!
Glad the video was helpful to you! Maybe you can find use for those extra parts on something else...
Thanks for posting this - just got my skid steer and the tracks are quite loose. This video will be a great help tomorrow when I go to tighten them!
