I know this is an old post but..I remember being one of the local crew at ETIHAD Stadium in Melbourne. This was my very, very first loadin/out of many gigs over 10 years professionally. I was on the groundlay crew for loadin and essentially roadcase pusher for out yet, It's still the biggest concert I've done. It started an amazing career in audio and lighting and met some great people along the way.
Something tells me that being a roadie is not all that glamorous. Looks like a lot of work. Does anybody know what stadium this is, and where it's located?
Great video. Aaa follow up Here’s an amazing documentary on what it took to put this together. ruclips.net/video/mpk8wRhoRnQ/видео.html The claw and the rest of the u2-360 rig cost $750,000 usd a day to operate. Forget about the insane Money they put in to build it.
I’m a rigger in the entertainment industry so I’m pretty jaded and don’t get impressed by much, but ... working on this when they came through DC was pretty godamn impressive. Also garnered me my first experience operating a boom lift/condor (thanks Danish guy) which got me into tv/film. Fun fact, each of those legs had 3 follow spots each and I ‘manned’ one of them.
@@davefroman4700 I feel like the U2 one is hard to top I mean it took them days just to put it together. but I'll try to find a vid of the Rammstein one.
I remember like, 2 years ago, there was a video where they showed the stage being transported by cargo planes and stuff, showing the logistics behind it but I can't find it anymore. Does anyone knows where this video is at?
It´s not "just" a Stage, their is much more Information in this Clip! Especially for "innovative" Architectures. This Construction is like a BIG Mongol Nomad Jurte. I will build my own one, in some years. Very similar way to build, (with a lot BAMBOO and HEMP) like this kind of ON THE ROAD Tent, hehe! LIVE LONG AND PROSPER \\//
U2 é uma grande banda! Eles são muito criativos! Parabéns a toda equipe e aos integrantes da banda!
This stage is now set up at the aquarium next to my home
I saw the concert live. 🔥🙏❤️

That's amazing..don't know if there ever will be a tour like that again.
Völliger Unsinn so ein Monsterrigging für eine absteigende Band...
wow
When you need to erect massive towers just to jack-up the actual show rig; that's a pretty damn big show!
Something tells me that being a roadie is not all that glamorous. Looks like a lot of work. Does anybody know what stadium this is, and where it's located?
Most over rated band in history.
All that production for a mediocre band what a waste
now its sitting at an aqaurium in utah as a show peice, I drive by it all the time.
That was just one of three stages they had
the dude in the beginning just LOVES being the guy who gets to say "lets go" u can tell. ugh i bet everyone hates him lol
That was such a cool stage I'll never forget this tour I saw them when they were in Pittsburgh.
Love the guy at the end!!!
U2 is no longer relevant
U2 BLOWS

The editing meshed perfectly with the music. Great job!

El staff fue el mismo para todos los países en dónde se presentaron ??

Sorry for maybe stupid question. But anybody know how many Trucks was unload/upload for this stage here??? pls thx

I love U2s music but please, stop being political. The largest carbon footprint in 2011 in the world
They actually made massive efforts to make the tour carbon neutral. There an amazing doco on the production I’ll try to find it.

it was recommended for me look up U2 360° - Creating The 360 Tour
The Stage looks like a SPACE SHIP, not just for me, hehe!
YES ... a lot INSPIRATION, espacially for me, because Architecture is my PASSION, not just business!

I think this was Barcelona, on the first leg.
It's Olympiastadion in Berlin. First leg indeed. I've been lucky to attend. Great, great show.
The best stage in the world for the best band in the universe!
No Line On the Horizon
What u2 song is this?
This was Berlin's Olympic Stadium. It was the venue where Jesse Owens upstaged Hitler.
This is Berlin Olympiastadion.
This video is the best timelapse arrangement I have ever seen.. inspirational..
i think its called "The Claw" and not "The Spaceship"

Wow man. I work with the same kind of stuff but never worked in something so big. It must be amazing, i envy you
