Funny watching the modern gear; even from when I was climbing (2000 or so) I remember doing Edge Lane with the same shothole gear, but we used to put a nut on tape in with the tape bent back over the top of it, supposedly camming the nut in place. I suppose even before that in Ron's time there was something specialist - a blue Amigo, if I remember, whatever that was.

I love the music. In fact, this is the only place in all of cyberspace where this version of the song is easily found and publicly available.

i know its hard to get reasonably priced decent music for low budget films, but climbing vids really do have utterly shit music

Firstly, don't insult our climbing by saying it would get easier if you bolted, it would just get safer! Secondly, don't be so arrogant as to say our ethics are the "purest", it's all subjective. Third, I never said we should bolt, I just said are ethics for not bolting are far deeper than just purely overcrowding.

But we're not America and I don't think we would have problems like that. Good example of that is our sports crags, which are no more populated then any of our popular grit crags.

Don't be ridiculous, that doesn't happen in France or Spain, or even the sports crags in Britain. The reasons are far deeper than just worries about overuse of crags, as Dan Bridge said.
