Love this ❤ its so true. We all need to just focus on our own path and journey and do what makes us feel good and happy, and support others as they do the same. There is no one way to be "healthy, happy or perfect". We decide what that means

Thank you for the Video Megan, you look & sound amazing. It took me 5 years to be diagnosed for RA, totally ruined my golf game, ha ha. I developed pain over all of my body, I had pain in every joint in my body & one day I could not lift my arms (my job was working on computers) & I ended up bed ridden for close to a year. What kinda saved me was my mind set to find out what was causing this & to push through the pain & become mobile enough to seek help, found a great Rheumatologist & my GP came on board once knowing it was not just in my mind. I was on Methotrexate for about 20 years, over the past 7 years I developed lesions on my thighs, neck & face, most cleared up with Antibiotic's however my face is still breaking out especially when I exercise, Dermatologist did a massive amount of test & one thing they found was that I was getting Cirrhosis of the Liver (I do not drink) & I eat pretty healthy diet. So I have put it down to the Methotrexate vandalizing my body, have been off it now for 5 months & just about all the lesion's have cleared up, am taking Plaquenil ( Hydroxychloroquine) but still need to have a pain killer at least once a week, flare up's have decreased to only on super hot days (I am in Australia were it is always hot). I have learnt on this journey that you definitely have to get your mind in the right space & to have the fortitude to push through the pain, two knee replacements have helped also. Getting the correct diagnosis is half the battle, I wish you well on your journey Megan, you definitely have the right attitude.

I was diagnosed about 2 months ago at 17. It had been going on for like a year or more with a pain free period of maybe a few months though) and a swollen middle finger. So it was pretty bad by that point with inflammation in like every joint so the doctors wanted to start treatment immediately and I took my first injection 2 days later and was put on cortisone pills😅My middle finger is still a bit swollen haha But we thought I scrolled my phone too much or something like that so that’s why we didn’t seek medical care earlier😅

Got diagnosed maybe 4 months ago, and started powerlifting a month ago or so. Awesome to see someone else going through with it too! I had trouble with doubting I could stick through it, but I've had great support from my university lifting club. Definitely would like to hear more on your RA experiences, more detailed recovery stuff.

Listen to this woman when she tells you to take it slow. Listen to your body do what you can little by little untill you can do more. Keep going and do your best to not get discouraged . You are your own advocate when it comes to your body. Do research on this when it comes to what it does to your body and like she says exercise helps it. You will learn what foods affect you and what will not this process is not easy but it affects people so differently. Mines was caused from stress sadly. Eat the right vegetables to help repair your body like kale, spinach, broccoli, arugula salad, red onions anything with high calcium, vitaminD, Iorn, zinc, vitamin C these are the main ones i can remember off the top of my head when it comes to the Immune system that attack your body you need more of it. ***Also try to soak in the sun for 30 minutes . This journey is not easy but you got this trust me 💪💪💪 keep going. Have faith in God and in yourself and with every improvement praise God. Anyone that disappears when you get this is not your friend God is showing you that let them go and find peace within yourself. Remember you got this 💪💪💪.

I recommend wearing lifting gloves (there are some that are made specifically for arthritis)! Consciously loosening your grip a bit helps too; sometimes we grip things very tight without realizing it.

The no pain no gain is hard for me. I love pushing myself. I did today at the gym today during my back workout. I didn't think I was doing too much but within a few hours I couldn't flip the turn signal on while driving, holding the steering wheel was painful and my joints are swollen. Totally suck I did that to myself. I did enjoy my workout though

Same boat with it hitting my knees but also a foot and ankle which is the one that knocks me off my feet when it hits. Hope you keep doing these videos and your following takes off. It's nice to watch and listen to somebody who's gone through it and been through it. Hope I can get to the point where I can bend my knees as much as you do in some of those thumbnails. Great tips! I actually have just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in one knee. Hopefully I’ll get some answers on the other knee this month. Good tips Megan! I definitely feel heartbroken over the events unfolding in Europe. And in the U.S., where I live. My morning is prayer, devotional, and worship. That’s how I take care of my soul. When I drift from that, my soul takes notice. Overwhelming events - like war - and even looming possibilities of my country getting involved, can put the pressure cooker on high for me. I now choose to not watch the news until my husband comes home from work because I know he’ll want to watch as well. I struggle with multiple autoimmune conditions but am choosing to walk daily. It helps to keep moving though sometimes it makes it worse. It’s hard to know some days. I still give it a go 🙂 I’m a new sub! Can’t wait to see more of your videos! I’m considering doing a yoga for ostomy recipients too but I need to get back into my own routine LOL! Been just focusing on walking with some increased back & leg issues but will check out your other videos as well 🙂💜
