    The beautiful thing about Miles’ solo is that it takes you to a place emotionally using a few precisely placed notes and rhythm AND space. It’s pure genius in my view.

    It's a valiant effort to try and transcribe Chet's timing... he hits the beats that matter, but in between, he just does his own thing. Things like these, I like to just sketch out with rough timing, and do a whole lot of listening, in order to grasp his feel, rather than try to pinpoint it exactly.

      @@pp_h easy to read it once you memorize the way it sounds from the recording. Then memorize the solo for posterity.
