performed well. rider 1 uses the overtaking lane and rider 2 just makes it to the left lane in time
Second left onto the Blaby by pass following Leicester A426

See the second left exit onto the Blaby by pass following the signs for Leicester on the A426. This is performed perfectly by the learner rider. The most common mistake is that the rider fould fail to notice the small exit at about 7 o clock on the diagram ad would signal left on the approach that would confuse the other road users.

Good, solid, clear explanations. I really like the format. More than just on board video and talking. Good stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully we will have the videos for right turns, mini roundabouts, normal roundabouts and traffic lights live soon.
02:23 When I had mod 2 test - I failed due to too much accessing the right side of the road. I complained but it is not allow to access the other side of road..😂 It is really depends on the mod2 Examination supervisor😢 (note: if the road has white line - shows😂 split of the road)
As long as oncoming cars are not using the other side then it's totally OK to move over onto the other side of the road so you can pass the parked cars safely (the books all say minimum 1m clearance but I would recommend 1.5m as some doors are pretty big) Of course if you do have oncoming vehicles then it is their side so they must get to use it first so we need to slow down or stop to allow them to come through.
2 years ago, I couldn’t found A auto (DAS) motorcycle school. Hence I take the A2 auto test. Anyway if I couldn’t found A auto motorcycle school near my area (Walton On Thames) then I will book from your school. 😂
Lol didn't notice it was you.. I will look out for you.. If you see me in the training ground pop in I have not tired the e clutch yet.. 😀
Hi Kev, nice to see the Rebel. After passing my test with you, I said goodbye to the 350 Forza and treated myself to a new Honda CB650RA eclutch in Graphite black. I absolutely love it. Just had its 1st service at 600 miles last week. In fact, you gave me a nod a few weeks back. Looked like you were on your way to the test centre with a couple of your students. I was on my way to my sons place. I'll keep my eye out for you when I pass your training area. Ride safe, and thanks for all the training and hopefully see you when passing sometime 👍😊.
Very easy roundabout.
Perfect explanation.
I count that as the 3rd not the 5th.
1st exit is left towards South Wigston. 2nd exit straight on towards M1. 3rd exit right onto Wigston Lane. 4th exit right towards city center. 5th exit right towards ring road Leicester East A563 So it’s definitely the 5th exit
Great content, follow the video series to help with preparing for the practical riding. Helped me a great deal.
Chief! If you redo the video with a dead cat mic you will get more views
I just wanted to say thanks. Big help playing this video on the days upcoming and on the day of the test. Helped a lot to calm my nerves when I was confident with the answers. Test felt that much easier after. Passed yesterday :). Finally on my full A after a few years on my A2.
Well done Tyler we are happy to help 🎉🎉
Hey , a massive thank you. I passed my A1 MOD2 :-). Thank you for you Vids
they should do more realistic questions for mod 2 like 'show me how you would push your 125 home after youve run out of petrol at 2am going to buy a teenth off your mate' and 'tell me how you would budget for your monthly insurance payments on the dole'. and my favourite 'tell me how you would carry a 2nd gen playstation and a hand full of shit games to cash converters using your bike to pay for that emergency tenner you used on the leccy card to get the lights back on'
Don’t forget the most important one.. show me how you would balance your McDonald’s coffee on the petrol tank while travelling through the drive though 😂
@@KJsSchoolOFMotoring haha
Imagine turning the engine off using the emergency stop switch and then forgetting to switch it back to the run position during the test and not realising why the bike won't start. I'm sure it has happened to someone before. Always best to listen for a fuel pump when you turn the ignition on is a trick I like to use for fuel injected bikes. In just normal use too I always use the key to switch the bike off so never usually have to worry about the emergency switch unless someone else switched it unknown to me.
I think most examiners (maybe not all) tell the student to return the switch to the run position as soon as they have shown the examiner how to test it so they won’t forget to reset it at the start of the test.. 👍
Crap, cut the roundabout up at the start 🤪
I hope there not wareing wa you got on
Lol I have seen plenty of other work uniforms that are much worse than mine... don’t think I would be wearing that when out for pleasure though doesn’t exactly blend in 😳
Best 1 so far I've seen
Thanks Richy I hope it helps you on your Mod2 👍
P.s. also a great thing to include if you ever do another, WALT (easy to remember if your a Disney fan or breaking bad fan haha) WEAR, ALIGNMENT, LUBRICATION AND TENSION
Passed my mod2 on Thursday (22nd October) I literally replayed your video days coming up to the big day. It helped out alot. Great advice and very helpful 🎉🥳 thankyou 😊
Well done on passing your Mod2. Welcome to the world of biking ride safe :)
Thanks ever so much for your advice. My test is on Thursday, most probably in the rain!
I wish I could explain it like you do! Thank you for the video.
Julie Wong Hi Julie just remember when you go for your test if you can’t answer the questions correctly then the worst you can get is a rider fault on your test you can’t fail for not knowing the answer the examiner would just like to see you do some research on how a pillion would effect you.. you might never even carry a pillion passenger after you have passed your test so don’t worry too much..
Would be nice if you did a commentary on your videos 👍🏻. What bike camera you using?
I did do a commentary one of my videos (Kirk day 3) but most the ones I uploaded where just raw footage from the bike as I am usually really busy and don’t have much time to edit the videos. I use a pretty old camera a Drift Stealth 2
xx_leah 21_xx I’ve just bought an INNOVV camera system. Blillant bit of kit. Not got to worry about battery. Not to expensive either
Thank you so much for the Video!! Really helpful!
I will be suggesting to the DVSA that they start introducing questions into the Theory and Mod2 tests that are appropriate to electric motorcycles where the petrol bike questions might not fit. For example an electric motorcycle usually has no transmission or oil pan so there would be no need to check oil. The engine cutout switch is usually repurposed to be a throttle lock switch and is used when mounting/dismounting the bike, pushing the bike when off the side stand and also critically when demonstrating the throttle control to anyone or allowing anyone to touch the throttle. There may be scope for asking questions about recharging but since refueling petrol is not currently included they may skip that. Questions about belt/chain, lights and signals, steering and brakes are of course the same. I will be sitting my Mod2 next week on a Zero DS 11kW and the Instructors and Examiner have all been very keen to check the bike as they are not often presented for tests in the UK. My Instructor and my Mod1 Examiner have both experienced the quiet riding at very slow speeds and have had to adjust their teaching process to keep an eye on the bike rather than just an ear.
This is very informative man! Thanks a lot👊🏻
Your very welcome hope it helps. Checkout our other video on the pillion questions also 👍
Biggest difference i found while riding a bigger bike is the revs go up when slipping the clutch which is not the case on my 125. This meant that i could pretty much do a uturn, slalom and figure 8 without touching the brake or throttle which is strange for me. I think i will pass. The speed manoeuvres no problem. Just the first bit that could mess me up like the figure 8 and u turn. Slalom was the least of my worries abd high speed manoeuvres. Hope i pass, i realise practising on a 125 isnt the same in terms of clutch, trottle and brake control.
Tiffany Scott well? Did you pass?
Hi guys mood 2 tomorrow. Wondering how many of these questions do they ask?
They ask you 2 maintenance questions (1 Show and 1 tell) they then ask you 1 questions about carrying a pillion passenger (see our other video on the possible pillion questions)
U pass?
@@Juicebarltd Yes I did. Thanks
@@expatbiker6598 did u do it at Enfield. Seems to be no vids at that test centre
@@Juicebarltd It was at mitcham. They wouldn't allow me to film it for some reason.
So weird watching somebody do this in such a small area after watching all those test centre vids
Just did my training 2day. My test is in 2 weeks time. Everything we learnt was all familiar because i watch nearly every mod 1 video uk on youtube.
Really...really useful. Thank you for doing this video.
Your welcome. Also see our other video about the pillion questions you will be asked when you start the mod2 test.
@@KJsSchoolOFMotoring thank you once again, very useful and I passed Mod2 today!
Well done.
You cut lanes there
None of the bikes in this video cut across the lanes. The bike in front of me (the camera bike) almost cuts across the line on his left at 1:27 but just stays in lane. When we all get to the 12 oclock point on the roundabout the lane printed for city, A563 (A6) spirals out producing 3 lanes and we all take up the left lane of the 3 leaving in the left lane on the A563 exit. The other option would be to spiral out to the middle of the 3 lanes and that would take us off in the overtaking lane but that would then mean changing lanes after we came off and there were no vehicles to overtake in the scenario so leaving in lane 2 would be a waste of effort.
Is this one of the test routes? It would be good to hear more comments from the instructor 👍
Chain question you didn't mention wheel alignment
What day was this on ? I've never seen those roads so quiet.
I think it was a Thursday.. But it was was during the School Holidays so generally not too busy.
Hi Any chance you could do one of Leicester test routes with commentary. There’s no videos of bikes doing a test route in Leicester.
I have been really busy over the summer but now the weather is getting worse and I have more free time I will be doing some mock tests rides around Leicester. Been out yesterday and today recording some footage just need time to edit it and sort out the commentary and then I will upload them. You have probably already passed your test by this time though so it probably won't help you.
Look forward to seeing it. Not many bike lesson videos for Leicester area.
Thanks for the upload Mod 2 this Friday and you explained everything really well. Thanks mate
Did you pass
Yes mate passed 🥳
Thanks. Mod 2 tomorrow on a gladius and this should help me look like I know what I'm doing during training :)
Good luck.. you have a great bike to help you pass :)
KJ's School of Motoring smashed it, thanks. 3 minors for being a bit slow, all through training I had to be told to slow down :D
Good luck. Dont forget to watch our pillion questions video also as the examiner will ask you 2 questions about the bike maintenance and also a question on carrying a pillion passenger :)
Both riders would have passed for this rider. They both end up taking the overtaking lane on the approach instead of the middle lane like it do but they maintain their lane discipline the first rider just takes a long time to return to the left lane on the new road..
The rider does this perfectly most people signal left on the approach for this left turn which would be confusing and dangerous.
This rider does this area pretty well his only problem was with the u turn at the end of the Blaby by pass. He starts too far to the left in the overtaking lane. (He should have used position 3) then as he travels round this roundabout he is not keeping close to the roundabout and it looks like he might be coming off earlier than he does.. Finally instead of passing the 3rd exit and checking left, signalling and breaking away from the roundabout to leave in the left lane on the dual carriageway he leaves in the overtaking lane and then has to do a lane change (which he does well) to get himself back over to the left hand lane.
Both riders do this well. The first rider ends up in e overtaking lane and maintains it. After the roundabout he does a safe lane change. The second rider just makes it to the left lane in time and doesn't need to change lane afterwards. Both would be nice passes but I would have liked the second rider to get into the left lane earlier like I did if he wanted that lane not at the last second.
The first rider should not have changed back over into the middle lane so late. He should of either got in the middle lane early like my bike did taking the video or done what the second rider did and maintained his lane discipline.
