The news is she has passed away
Beautiful song. I imagine this is what helped babies relax and fall asleep back in Iron Age Finland, on cold winter nights with wind and snow swirling around the log cabins.
Konnichiwa!
I keep coming back to this wonderful melancholy arrangement, and I'm working on learning it now on my own 5 string which you inspired me to purchase.
Omg Real Mika??

Wow, what a beautiful instrument.

Joo no niin
I need one of these!
Mika...
what instruments is the song usually played with?

So cool

I just recently learned that there is an kantele (gusli) was banned in Russia for a long time and was burned at the stake in the Middle Ages bu russians as a magical instrument. Never before have I heard such beautiful music instrument that touches my heart. Just typed Kirill Bogomilov in the search. It has a sound that reverberates and blows through my mind like wind running through leaves.
I love the sound of the gusli and kantele. It has a sound that reverberates and blows through my mind like wind running through leaves.
I didn't know about this before. Thank you very much!
Thank you very much for the hint!!!
weird
Well it fits finnish folklore.

Loistavaa!
Words to this song: Mieleni minun tekevi, aivoni ajattelevi lähteäni laulamahan, saa'ani sanelemahan, sukuvirttä suoltamahan, lajivirttä laulamahan. Sanat suussani sulavat, puhe'et putoelevat, kielelleni kerkiävät, hampahilleni hajoovat. (Kalevala)
Well not really a song but a poem...Here these guys sings all the Kalevala poems ruclips.net/video/XRdCsEVFd4I/видео.html
nice play
Lovely.
Your instrument makes SUCH a haunting, beautiful sound! Bravo!
Every kantele makes sound like that. That's why it's my favorite instrument. I grew up hearing a lot of kantele music since it's the national instrument of Finland and also in a lot of Finnish literature and mythology, so it's a large part of our tradition and culture. It's hard to find places that sell them and they tend to be expensive since they're hand made and mostly only made and used in Finland and karelia, so usually people make their first kantele themselves, and only buy them once they've gotten used to playing them and want something more professional.
@@henkkahenrik4183 Neat-o! 🤩 That makes it even cooler!
@@joshuatheregularguy8974 I'm actually currently thinking of making my first 5 string kantele and I'm debating should i make the oldschool traditional kantele hollowed from thicker piece of wood, or the bit more modern and easier to make kantele made by glueing multiple normal thinner boards that don't need hollowing.
@@henkkahenrik4183 I'm certainly no expert at making things, let ALONE making something like this, but I would say unless you're a wood-working person, if it's your first one, I'd seriously lean towards the easier way (as long as it doesn't require some expensive power tool that you don't have access to, of course). If you find it's something you enjoy doing, then I'd move on to more traditional methods from there. But either way, that really is cool!
@@joshuatheregularguy8974 i mean neither of them are all that impossible, after all they tend to be like basic technical work projects in some elementary schools, but the traditional is a lot of work since it needs a lot of hollowing out. Also both need to have pretty precise measurements.
Oikeesti
