Stoke Dealer Beer Launch party
This collaboration between Boardcave and Black Hops Brewing was born when we envisioned what the ultimate summer session beer would look like. The beer, named "Stoke Dealer", is a crisp and light beer that features a unique blend of hops, malts and tropical fruit notes, making it the perfect accompaniment after a long day in the ocean. This collaboration has resulted in a beer that is not only deliciously refreshing but also represents the passion and lifestyle of both Boardcave and Black Hops Brewing.

Harrison Roach on the Step Deck from Thomas Surfboards
What kind of fins would you recommend? Im 5'10" and 155lbs, just ordered 6'4" big baron softtop
Would this be good for a medium duration train ride as well?
Hey you young fellas...rock on "the pensioners room" haha. Like the Blanks. Cheers.
Great vid, gonna grab one when I’m in Bali !
how's the exit rocker? easy to burn speed / slow down when waves are pumping?
Good paddler?
The airport handler will throw your boardbag around no matter what you do.
Thx 4 the kind infos today - From Peter - The Blogger - Burleigh Waters today!
Too easy, thanks Peter
This is the board i want to learn on, ive heard nothing but good things aboit them
I rode this a year ago, a great board, very fast, but. It gives you a f#$&-g rash all over your inner thighs
I have a step deck on my longboard and at times it feels like the nose is too thin and just sinks
Thanks! Really helpful!
Nice review 🤙
how big are you?
What would you recommend for mushy summer waves (knee-to-head high beach break)? Firewire Seaside, Haydenshapes Hypto Krypto, Lost RNF 96, or CI Rocket Wide?
Thanks for the review mate. Currently thinking about grabbing one. Surfing cloud break in March again finally. Covid ruined my Fiji trips for a few years. Im 90kg, thinking the 6'6 or 6'8. What would you recommend?
How does it feel w 9" fin?
Great review. Was chasing fin set up feedback before heading to Indo unridden. Chair bowl.
the twin fish is ace

what set of fin do you use with it? i used the AM 2+1 but the board is to stiff and not playful..
Try the Captain Fin co. CF Especial Twin trailer for a looser feel :) www.boardcave.com/shop/surf-accessories/surfboard-fins/fin-brands/captain-fin-co/cf-twin-especial-acid-futures
Thruster??
The Softop version of the JS Big Baron comes ad a thruster set up but the PU version has the option of a twin set up as well. Hope that helps legend!
@@Boardcave ok thanks 🤙🏽🌊
Hey man .. I'm looking for a daily driver. I have only surfed for 2years and can only do some pumps and small carves. I never had a small board like this (been surfing on a Pyzel Gremlin 6"6) , the guy at my local shop told me to consider the OG Flyer or the Lost Uber Driver. Are these boards user friendly and fun to ride? I weight 85kg and 1,86m tall.. was aiming for a 6"1 around 34LT
Hey Legend, yea the Lost Uber Driver is a great all round shortboard for everyday conditions. 6'1 34.5L should do the trick. You should also consider the Lost Quiver Killer as well 6'1 35L, hope that helps !
@@Boardcave Hey, thanks a lot for the tips .. i will check that board too for sure.
Hello please I’m from Morocco and im looking for that finss if anyone knows where I can find them online thank you so much
Hey legend typically these types of fins come with a soft-board when you purchase them and are not sold individually. What kind of board do you have ? We sell a wide range of fins online at www.boardcave.com.au/shop/surf-accessories/surfboard-fins
When you tighten the plug screw you don't want them be flush in the board? Just snug like a quarter on a desk still above the surface slightly?
🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Nice video 👍. Which do you prefer, the seaside or the lost Hydra ? Thanks.
We're a fan of both but the Seaside definitely wins the popularity contest!
Where do you get those??!
Hey Mike, you can order the Big Baron online via www.boardcave.com.au/ - If you have any questions you can contact our team via LIVE chat or service@boardcave.com.au
What size is the board in the vid?
Hey Tim, this board is a 6'8 Big Baron
Best board I ever owned, super fast, responsive and forgiving.
Stoked to hear this, thanks for your comment legend!
Big dents in yet again thanks to DHDs 4x4x4 ripoff glassing. How many boards have you snapped with this crap glassing?
Thanks for your feedback. We always recommend to choose stronger glassing for bigger waves, if you're a heavier footed surfer and also to add some additional durability against compression dings. If you have any questions or further feedback feel free to contact us at service@boardcave.com
How much better are these compared to the soft tech performance or the catch surf boards?
Overall the Softech and Catch Surf boards are made better as they specialise more in foam boards. However this board by Misfit is very fun to surf in smaller conditions.
Hey Tommy!
How can i buy that?
Hey there, are you referring to the blanks, how to purchase them? If so, please email service@boardcave.com and we'll be able to help you further!
Thanks for the review! How would you compare this to the ducks nuts and for a warm water travel board which would you pick and why
No worries Ron! The Sweet Spot 3.0 is a more refined version of the Ducks Nuts Model. It is the newest addition of the Sweet Spot family and offers all the aspects of a Step Up Shortboard in a shortboard.
Cool awesome yes... Thxxx...
I've ordered mine in 5'5 30L, hope it'll go well here in Italy where waves are usually weak compared to the ocean 🌊🤙🏽
The Mini Twin II performs really well in 1-3 ft, we hope you enjoy it! Our customer support is LIVE on chat if you ever have any questions regarding volume or anything else you may have questions about :)
how did you find the 5'5 for size bro?
Good review
Thanks so much for watching!
I'm in love!!! Size? Dimensions? In action?
Thanks so much for watching! The JS Big Baron Softboard comes in sizes 6'0 to 7'6. You can check out the full dimensions for each size on our website here - www.boardcave.com.au/big-baron-softboard-white-22671
Have you tried surfing the 5’10’’- 18 3/4 - 2 5/16 ? Cause that’s fairly bulky and if I’m not wrong you can get two different dims for the 5’10 just off the rack.
Thanks for watching George! The DX1 Phase 3 does come in two different dimensions for the 5'10 size. 5'10 - 18 3/4" x 2 5/16" at 26.5L 5'10 - 19" x 2 7/16" at 28L The 5'10 at 28L with thicker rails will perform better in average conditions or when you just want a little extra volume :)
🤙 grouse work 🤙
Yew first!
Hydra vs Seaside Hydra vs Evo ?
Hey Tim, thanks for your question! The Hydra is more catered to smaller conditions, up to head high. It's a really versatile small wave fish board and comes with the option of 5 fins, allowing you to choose your preferred set up (thruster, quad, twin etc), as well as the option to choose PU or EPS construction. Whereas the Seaside comes in a quad set up only and utilises Helium technology which makes this board really light and durable. The Seaside's overall shape is more refined than the Hydra and can easily handle overhead conditions. The Evo on the other hand is not super comparable to the Hydra, as it's more closely related to a hybrid shortboard design. The Evo is suited to a range of skill levels and conditions, from 1-5ft approximately. We hope this info is helpful!
How do you clean it
Hey Nick, thanks for your question. Depending on how dirty the inside of the board bag is, we would recommend wiping out with a wet cloth or shaking it out to empty out any dirt etc.
Do you reckon these would go good with added tail channels?
awesome to see companies actually taking care of the environment
Can anyone tell what fins he's using for the Twin +1? That seems like it might be a fun option in smaller surf.
Hey Casey! This customer is using the T1template by Futures that come in a variety of different construction types. You can check out more info on these fins here - www.boardcave.com/shop/surf-accessories/surfboard-fins/fin-brand/futures/t1-alpha-twin-1
is the 6 ft good for barreling reef breaks or should i go with a 6,2 or something like that
Thanks for your comment, we'd be more than happy to provide a personalised surfboard recommendation for you. If you'd like to email service@boardcave.com.au one of our team will be in contact.
Very in depth review... thank you. Could you please provide information on the Twin + fins. As what their name is either on the futures or boardcave sites, including the size you used and if they would work on a Thruster find box orientation?
Hey Christophe! This customer is using the T1 template by Futures that come in a variety of different construction types. The Hypto Krypto model can be surfed as a thruster, quad or twin fin. In the case that you wanted to surf it as a thruster you would use a different set of fins than the ones in this video. However, for more information on the T1 Future twin fins, you can check it out here - www.boardcave.com.au/shop/surf-accessories/surfboard-fins/fin-brands/futures/t1-alpha-twin-1
