What a great day! Thank you for having us from Nebraska. Hope I wasn’t too rowdy when Pastor Free showed his Husker socks! You all made us feel very welcome. God has truly blessed both St. Paul’s.😊

Well done, Pastor Joel Jaeger. I sort of heard of some of these challenges into getting to Norfolk, Nebraska. I did a family tree of the Jaeger side of our family about ten years ago. However, there were some interesting tidbits you highlighted which I was not aware of. Some include the number of families, single men, number of cows, and even two pigs (had to be a challenge), plus seven horses. Only having seven horses had to be another challenge. Crossing the two rivers to get had to be scary at times too. Another reason I wanted to respond was that the name Herman Braasch was mentioned. Herman Braasch married a relative of ours, Frederike Jaeger. She was the daughter of Martin Jaeger who was the oldest Jaeger related to us. To try and simplify, Martin (1786-1868), had Frederike Jaeger Braasch. Frederike had a brother named Carl and he is the one where the tree is easier to follow. Carl (1817-1872), had Carl Herman (1843-1930), who had William Jaeger (1871-1938), your great grandfather and Albert Jaeger (1879-1980), my grandfather. Your grandfather Hubert (1896-1953) was the son of William Jaeger. Albert Jaeger was the father of my dad, Franklin Jaeger (1920-1978). Yes, there are a lot of Braasch's who died in Norfolk or Norfork who are relatives of ours because of the Federike Jaeger connection. Thanks again, Chester Jaeger.
