Trashspark has really killed the transformers brand. An insult to the original and the shows before it.

From what I see this is not only due to some of the decisions they've made in the past, but this is also because the toy industry is supposedly suffering from weak consumer demand. So Naturally, Hasbro's profits would be down. I'm not even remotely educated on the subject matter, but it could be worse than 20%, and Hasbro still has tons of IP rights to very popular toylines that still go on to this day. They got the trademarks for some of their 80's my little pony characters back so at the very least they can fall back on releasing stuff for those, since many collectors and people who make Gen 1 customs like myself are always looking to get some 80's pony stuff.

I got back into toy collecting in 2012 after being out of it for years & scalpers weren't really an issue for me until recent years, when I started going after NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures. In recent years, I'll go to Wal-Mart at least once a week (usually different locations) & try to hunt down certain figures, only to find none that I want or ones I already have & the same happens at Target, but I only go to that like once in a while. I have a friend who loves to collect baseball cards & he told me that scalpers are ruining his hobby too + I talk to fellow video gamers & they say that same thing, especially with newer consoles. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that scalpers are ruining the collecting hobbies in general with their greed & I'll even sometimes say "(impersonating Anakin Skywalker) Scalpers rely on their greed to get money. They think inwards, only about themselves. Collectors on the other hand usually care about others and will leave enough for others." & if I'm pissed enough, I call scalpers a bunch of [BEEP]ing greedy [BEEP] suckers. If a simple collector finds an item that they're looking for, usually they'll just grab maybe only 1 or 2 items on average & leave the rest for others while scalpers will snag them all & not leave any for anyone else who may want them, they'd probably just be like "Too bad. How awful to be you. You should've gotten here earlier." if they do see someone else who may have wanted any of the items. Most collectors have jobs & other responsibilities (like kids or whatnot), so they often can't go to the stores when they first open in the morning while scalpers who usually don't have any real jobs or responsibilities could if they so chose & snag up as much as they want, so that by the time collectors can go to the store like after work or whatnot... The shelves & racks have been picked clean. I don't wanna give up this fun hobby, so all I can do is keep the faith that I'll 1 day go to a store, see what I want & hopefully have the funds for it.

I got into warhammer 40k as an escape from modern western media. It’s too colorful and “positive” i like many others want more grit and FUN from media. That’s why anime/manga and warhammer are popping off.
