This video was a last minute, spur of the moment video.
We had planned on Jodie making this meal but last minute decided to film it, hence the dishevelled look.
I am So proud of what Jodie managed to accomplish for her first time cooking mostly solo with some supervised guidance.

I thought it was autistic and adhd in me. I don’t have dominant hand. I bump into stuff all the time. I write chicken scratches with both hand. I don’t tie shoes and buy clip on.

I've only known about my dyspraxia for a few months (in my 40's) and had always just assumed I was useless and stupid in many ways. It's so powerful to see others discussing it so openly and validating the ways I experience dyspraxia...because there's still a huge part of me that just thinks "yeah but you're also just useless and stupid" :( Thanks for making this!

"But who doesn't bang on the door frames?" They don't :) I presume this from the surprise on people's faces. Sunday I have my first speaking exam in a foreign language ever and want to start it with information about dyspraxia and aprosody, which have a negative impact in fluence and accents. It has even in my mother language. So when I saw your eyes looking into emptiness due those little brain blackouts and other time searching in the corners of the room for any working synapses, I felt like you're my closest relative. I actually saw myself in you and that was the best feeling of my evening. I'm AuDHD and my BF is probably ASD person and... he didn't recognize any difference in the way of your fluency or eye movement in comparision to other people.

My Son is 34 has Dyspraxia , dyslexia, dyscalcula, ADHD . I don’t think he will learn to drive , he couldn’t tie his shoe laces till age 11. I have no coordination ADhd , and dyscalcula . My daughter with Asperger’s and ADHD was clumsy but not diagnosed with dyspraxia. Most girls with ADHD day dream in classroom setting , it is to escape like meditation, you don’t want to be at school , but if it’s a subject you like you can hyper focus , most girls with ADHD are low on hyper activity scale and more distracted and inattentive in classroom. I had no coordination and can’t catch or throw balls , I was good at high jumper hurdles , long jump , discus anything that didn’t involve a ball .

A common theme I'm noticing with these developmental coordination disorder videos is the lack of focus on the complete lack of fetal development in the womb as a contributing factor to the disorder, the key word here being development. Maybe it's because I'm a Pisces or maybe because I was born 1 lb 8 oz i.e around the size of a coke can, but I've always found baths, and swimming underwater and staying underwater to be very therapeutic and grounding per se haha. Perhaps, maybe it's because I watched other videos of other people with Dyspraxia or as it is known in America Developmental Coordination Disorder or DCD, and I noticed that they never seem indicate that at least the part of the disorder is biological in nature and the other is a dysfunction in what would be normally regulated brain functions i.e motor skills, etc. You can practice repetition and routine, you can kind of work your way out of it, but it never really goes away, of course. Just my two cents, chin up and onward!

like this video I was diagnosed with it when I was kind but only recently got told that I had this. the way I remember left and right is I broke my right thumb and not my left . Yah I wasn’t good at making note’s even as it was being written I still can’t do that as for with talking I trip over my words at times or I’ll talk fast . Sports for me was hit and miss my spilling is not the best that way I use alto correct on here and texting as well as using a dictionary and I’m bad at maths and I can’t fully read the old fashioned clock fully and a lot of people have tried to help me with that but it doesn’t click but I can understand/read the digital ones as for condition for myself it’s hard for me to explain so I’m going to leave that at that .

I am a 55-year old man who learned recently he had dyspraxia. Driving is a pain and I have not driven in years, though I always renew my licence. I can't ride a bicycle and I was never good at team sports. But I learned how to swim. In a way, I am glad to see I am not alone. I have no dyslexia though. I was very good in school and even got a Master's degree, although my handwriting was a challenge. This is a condition where no two people are the same. I am good under stress situations ( moving, dealing with ill parents, etc).

I'm pretty sure I have dyspraxia but undiagnosed as I'm 42yo and this diagnosis didn't exist when I was in school. I was very shy as well so I fell under the radar all the time. A friend who is a psychologist is the one who suggested I have this. Before I was thinking I had Aspergers. But then again maybe I'm both. Kinda pointless to get a diagnosis this late in life for me. I've always known I was different from everyone else but didn't know why. My channel is about health, fitness, & diabetes management but you can definitely tell that I'm an Aspie or dyspraxia. I really don't like watching myself on video talking.

Huge respect for sharing this powerful video. I resonate with many of your experiences. In school though I was a chatterbox and that masked that something else was up. I also drive, sheer force of will and lots of practice. When I am behind the wheel I am on a mission, so despite my clumsiness outside of a car I've been told I'm a good driver... hyperfocus. Don't ask me to park though! Failed my first test on parallel parking. Passed my second as it wasn't tested :) Regularly get caught repeating things, usually three times. Also completely fail when out in public and someone addresses me. Deer in the headlights, mind blank... Great video

I was diagnosed at 10 with Dyspraxia and Asperger at 14 so I completely understand how challenging it can be dealing with 2 neuro disorders, I was quite lucky because I had support through secondary school although due to me struggling to concentrate I still didn't do very well. For me it was very confusing because my Dyspraxia would affect me in some ways whereas in some circumstances my Asperger would counter-act the symptoms of it. For example I would be very focused when in IT or science yet in English or maths I would fail because I couldn't concentrate in those particular subjects.
