Today I deal with some very dry, very heavy, very hard hard maple 👌😄 It’s nice and barkless, makes beautiful splits and ready to burn. 🔥 I likey.
Flinging splits like a boss last Winter❄️😆👌

My ol’ box store splitter was a trusty machine that I made a lot of wood with. Here I am showing different splits and showing off some hooping skills 😄👍 somewhat, that is. #firewood #winter #sports

Today I process some cherry and hard maple. (Forgot how heavy hard maple is)! But first the delightful work of weed and grass trimming.🤓👎 #firewood #chainsaw #cherry #maple #logsplitter #woodsplitter

Log truck delivery in suburbs driveway?
Interesting video 😉 What a lot of people don't know is that producing firewood is a LOT of work (not always hard work), but it consumes a lot of time and demands a certain amout of effort every single day, so persistence is the key. You gotta love it do be doing it ! Thanx for sharing !
Logalanche 👍 Great pickaroon action !
Thanks bro! 😎
That pickaroon is the way to go- looks like one of those nice German tools. 🇺🇸(Quality counts, none of that cheap🥡 junk)
Yessir! It’s hickory 👍. I think it’s made in the USA, but same difference 💪
Yeah, i know this very well...good job man !
Thanks man! 💪😊
Awesome ! Good hand 🤙
nice yard! keep up the hard work!
Thank you!🙏😊 Will do 👌
Refreshing- could use some of the white stuff now! Bring on Fall
Haha! Where abouts you live anyway Micah? I’m in North-Central Wisconsin.
NIce !!!
Haha! 💪thx bro
🤘

I try to cut trees down in winter and start harvesting it in the spring. It's not always fun to work in the bush in the winter but if it's worth it
For me it’s funner in the Winter than in the Summer 👍
@@dlfuller2 yeah, I guess that depends on the area and how brutal the winter is. We get waist deep snow and -30 degrees Celsius or lower.
@@ChampionFirewoodManitobaI’m in northern Wisconsin, so not much different. 👍👍
That would ruin your day- and your chain ! 🇺🇸
Yessir it would! Could potentially cause an injury too I think. 🤔 Hope you’re enjoying your summer my friend. Thanks for watching and commenting!
🤘
Liftoff 😂 Cool choice of music 🤘
And there goes the pickaroon...🤣
I only show some of my bloopers 😂
😎
Oak takes the longest to dry, but lasts the longest ! All You said is true ! Thanx for sharing !
Yes 👍 oak’s my favorite. Thanks for watching!
Working in the summer rain can be cool sometimes. Good work man !
You’re right! I was doing that earlier. But then it started raining too hard and flooded everything. Stay safe my brother 💪
Nice woodpile !
Thank you sir! 🫡
Gotta love the Santa 😉
Yep he’s real 😄
I do it exactly the same ! Although i don`t lower my rakers that much, because my chainsaw stalls in hardwood then. I didn`t try the grinder sharpening yet, still under consideration. Thanx for sharing !
Haha! Thats pretty cool. I found another sharpening twin. Keep up the good work bro! 👍👍
@@dlfuller2 U2 Bro !
Thanx for sharing !
My pleasure!
Nice splittin` and thanx for the tips ! The weather is strange everywhere in the world this year - here, the temperature rises up to 40°C 😓 Stay safe and stay hydrated !
Thanks for watching bro! Wow that’s 104F That’s hot!
@@dlfuller2 Too hot !
My guy, the entire south would like a discussion
😂 ok man I bow out. 100% respect 🫡 I don’t know how you guys do it down there. Sooooooo MUGGY 🥵
It's pouring rain in NC. The humidity is terrible, and even worse when it's raining. It's like being in a sauna. Louisiana is the worst tho.
Haha! 😂 You guys in the south got me beat for sure! 👍 I can hardly take it up here. Not sure I’d so well in Summers down there 😄
You sir, have never been to FL, it'll pour rain and instantly steam when it hits the ground
😂 sounds terrible man! I’ll bet some decent sized critters are flying around in that weather too! 😄
Cool Fact the Great Plains can go from the -F to the 70F in shortest time span or most change of weather in the world. Which in my book is cool. Yah nah can’t take that Southern Humidity and Heat
I like cool facts 👍 I didn’t know that 🤔 I used to live at the very edge of the plains in Northwest MN.
That's hilarious bring your butt on down to Texas I'll show you psychotic weather
😂 no thanks. 🙂↔️ already heard
Yeah come to Florida.😂
Um, nah 🙂↔️ 😂 you guys are absolutely famous for your weather. Or should I say “infamous”
😂
If you only had some Blue Spruce, Red , White and Blue- Make Splitting Great Again !🇺🇸 Take care my friend
Haha! For sure 👍 👍 🇺🇸
Christmas in July- what a beautiful sight!🇺🇸 God bless the USA and President Trump !
An emphatic YES to everything you just said my friend!🇺🇸💪
Remember all that climate change they told us wasn't happening around us? Hell, I can feel it, even now... WATCHING THIS SOMEONE wants to argue
Nope, was just doing that in Rhode Island today.
I can confirm that.
You apparently have never heard of the South….
Did you see the title is a question, to which I answered “nah”.
The irony of a song made in Houston playing now…
We had hail that was as big as a baseball. One went through the roof.
Yikes 😬 Was that today?
Too bad manitoba maple are stupidly invasive and is shit wood
I like ‘em. And I’m not growing them to harvest them. So the quality isn’t important to me. I’ll have a nicely wooded area back there in basically a couple years. So I’m happy.
All good tips to speed-up the process!👍 Sleepy Joe has got to go !🇺🇸
Fo sho!😆
Smart routine, from the truck, splitter, pallets 👍
Thanks man! Yeah I feel like it’s the best I can do with where I got the wood dumped 👍
I see I’m not the only one who does this. However, much easier/comfortable if you just use electrical tape on your knuckles and learn to sharpen with both hands. No vice needed, always perfect angles and pressure.
It’s great to find my sharpening twin out there! 😆👍 And good tips, thanks!
Yeah!! Peter Frampton!
They make great machines- might cost 9x more, but it’s gonna last you 10x longer than the overseas junk Have a great Independence Day🇺🇸
Agreed! Thanks brother, you too! 🇺🇸💪
Understand your weight now
Rude
I prefer the maul. I'm at the very least 9 times faster than any hyrdolic splitter ever created. Especially with little sticks like this dude is splitting. Only time I'll fire one up is it there's a not the same size as the round itself. Other than that, no self respecting man I know would woulduse one plainly for fear of lookin like a pansy. Unless ur just old. No shame in it there.
Your shoulders and elbows will remind you of that statement every hour as you get older.
😂
I doubt your splitting 27 cords a day
Fast working pace !
At his obesity it's quick, let him kinda work .
Thanks brother!
😃 Nice !
Thanks 😁
So you just gonna drag that shit the whole time you’re moving it? Or are you gonna dig a trench for that too?
I just needed to get it from the bottom of the slope. It weighs about 1 ton, but I can actually maneuver it by hand up on the flat. It might’ve dragged a little, but not much.😅
💪💪👍👍
😂 Nice !
Lol its the future and woodcutters got wifi and theyre here to tell us sawdust isnt dust. Get ready guys.
You must not use a chainsaw.
Try a log splitting axe not a multipurpose axe... let the wood dry before splitting. This was painful to watch.
Haha! 👍 Glad i could bring some pain to your day for ya. 😅
@@dlfuller2 tbf, if I had access to a hydrologic log splitter l, I'd go straight to that because I'm lazy 😆
@@EndtimeEnterprises if you see all my other videos this is the first time i break out the splitting axe. It’s all hydraulics for me 🤓👌 Gotta go through too much wood to be splitting it all by hand. But it’s fun when you’ve got some nice dry ash rounds or some red oak 👌 makes you feel like you’re good at it 🪓😂
Agreed completely, even with it's painful... That axe can work but the log needs a hard surface or it's just getting buried
