The History of the Sydney Rail Network (1855-2032)
Some mistakes I found it the map, where’s Warwick Farm station? The RNP branch line dosent seem to exist. Canley value is now on the T3? The T5 goes up to Richmond on late nights. Your missing the Westmead To Hunter Street Metro. But overall beside these things it is a great video, keep it up!
Also the Inner West line is missing (City Circle VIA Regents Park)
Also the T5 and T2 extended down to Campbeltown before the south west rail link
Mason is my name Ys IT is
😂
Some opinions: The T10 is really interesting idea, but we can keep the T5 running between Leppington and Richmond, and maybe have the loop branch pushed slightly further to compensate. The loop is a pretty good idea, as Parramatta is becoming the 2nd CBD. BUT, the loop is very large and does not compensate so much for travel time, and maybe should be looping with Rosehill and Granville with a new station extending the loop slightly to densify the area. The T5 making a switch to the south line is really trash, because since the T5 is ending at Parramatta and the T5 usually runs on 4 car M sets, so getting to the CBD would be kind of a pain. The T4 extension is so good, but I would make a tiny rebound loop with Watsons Bay as one of the stations. Just don't extend the T8 to Western Sydney. THERES ALREADY GOING TO BE A METRO LINKED THERE TO ST MARY!
They should (and probably eventually will) extend the SWRL to Bradfield, because then people can get from the southwest e.g. Liverpool and Fairfield to the new airport way more easily than by changing trains twice. Realistically, T2 and T5 services will continue using the line rather than the T8 so that people from Campbelltown can keep their express trains to the city.
Other ideas include a metro loop line that utilises the M1 and turn it to a never ending loop which includes extending it from Bankstown to Liverpool then to the western Sydney airport then to St Mary's then around Bidwell Marsden Park then Schofield's then tallawong
I think that's a great idea! It would work better if the Western Sydney Airport Line was compatible with the rest of the metro, but I totally agree that a metro loop would be great, just like the motorway orbital network
It would be really cool in theory, but it's really hard to operate a reliable service on a line that's over 100km long
靈車概念嗎?
紅響尾蛇是雪梨第一輛載客的電動火車模型。不過看起來確實像靈車。 (Sorry, I only speak english, I used Google Translate to translate this, hope it helps but may not be accurate, search up "Red Rattler" if unsure)
I like the Hset too
They deserve more recognition, they're a combination of the Tangara and the Waratah
I do think it could also extend to Cessnock,Wallsend, Nelson Bay and maybe the rest of the hunter line could also get upgrades plus extend the Dungog line to taree and potentially a line to Forster
100% the Hunter line should get upgrades, the Airport line could be extended to Nelson bay and potentially a 3rd Hunter branch could be built to service Cessnock and Kurri Kurri, nice ideas!
No worries mate
Nice video 👍🏻 but why Canley Vale connected to Carramar? The T3 goes to Cabramatta, not Canley?
Thanks! My mistake
Good news everyone! The master plan has been given the green light and hopefully some development can start soon!
Your welcome do you have a tik tok or instagram to talk about other ideas
No just youtube
Nice video but do have a few things: 1:10 but what about leppington yard 3:32 chatswood, st leonards, or crows next would be a much better interchange than artarmon
Thank you! I'm not so sure about Leppington yard, but it could instead become a metro depot with one set of rails being the route for the rest of the line. As for Artarmon, the route is more direct, but I did also consider Chatswood.
That's sounds great with other stages going to Dapto and Bulli maybe even port Kembla and shell harbour and the science museum.
Nice video idea!
Good vision and understanding. The delay in buildings needs to wait until the main constructions are all but finished and then the rest won`t take that long. Be patient everybody all this will be here for hopefully more then 100 or so years. Lets face it Mascot only started out as a paddock with no foresight into what it has become to day. So be patient and think of hour your future descendants will benefit thanks to the foresight expressed now.
Thanks for the insight, I totally agree. Better that what is built is quality over quantity rather than the "New CBD" just being land freed up for housing.
@@bmas550 Allow time to grow .
It’s time to revive the lost railway networks
Long Live the Camden line, Carlingford line, Sandown Branch, Ropes Creek Line, and the Rogans Hill line! I know the demand was probably low back then, but how amazing would it be if you could get from Parramatta to Castle Hill and onto the metro without having to change lines!
Mount Kuring-Gai is spelt wrong
Oops! My mistake, I can never spell Ku-Ring-Gai 😂
This cooked
Thanks!
If the graphics weren't so bad, this would be amazing! Great job!
Thanks!
maybe you just threw the tangara a bone cause it fails so miserably, but waratah seats known to cause back pain? ive been riding trains since before you were born and outside of the v sets, the waratah seats are only third to h sets. tangaras should have been scrapped years ago, id rather a k set thanks.
Oscars are intercity trains so that's why they have Quiet Carriages not Silent Carriages. Also some Tangaras have high backed reversible seats. Also are you a driver to know this point of view? Not all Tangaras have graffiti so it is not common as the crew at Mortdale does checkups on them. Tangara windows are double sheeted unlike the Oscars meaning they have 2 pieces of glass instead of one. A lot of sets are foggy has there is a small gap between the 2 sets of glass and sometime dust can get in between.
Thanks for the feedback My mistake about the carriages, I always get them mixed up. And I did forget to mention a small amount of Tangaras do have reversible seats.
How do you know drivers prefer Waratah? Waratah don't have ETCS but Tangaras do. I have seen many pictures online of Waratah with Graffiti and Tangaras without Graffiti. Also some upgraded Tangaras have screens. And it's the guard who makes the announcements not the driver.
Thanks for the feedback! As for the drivers, most of my information was found on this reddit post www.reddit.com/r/sydney/comments/153nkw4/rank_the_sydneyintercity_trains_best_to_worst/ As for the graffiti, I have seen more graffiti marks on Tangaras than Waratah, however your experience may be different. The rest are pretty good points.
I ended up doing part 2 today instead of Sunday
Great video!
Thanks!
