I am just an ordinary guy who plays piano for fun. Usually play game or anime music but not always.
I don't let perfect be the enemy of good. I always try to use full unedited audio clips if possible. A small amount of mistakes will be around but I'm fine with that. Piano is a high execution activity and we're just human.

Your Lie in April - Nanairo Symphony (Piano Cover)
Well it's April, so we got to do what we go to do. Got to play tribute to the anime that helped put our hobby into the spotlight.
Not going to lie, that was a pretty hard arrangement for me. Definitely would have wanted a more consistent tempo but this is probably as good as it will get for me. I basically stagnated for a couple weeks on this one with little improvement so I just wanted it done. Plus I've been extremely busy with real life obligations.

Thanks Halcyon is definitely in the "challenging but doable" category for me while making very good arrangements. I played lots of them and I will say this one is definitely on the harder end from what I've tried so far.

It's been 2 years so I can't remember exactly. Usually I can probably get a piece like this nearly up to speed in 2 weeks and spend like the next 2 months trying to iron out the kinks. 😆

Thanks. It's kind of sad that's not completely a joke though. Not just in piano but all the hobbies I participate in reward appearance over quality of content. That's the world we live in but it's better that we focus our energy on bettering ourselves.
How long of practice did it take for you to be able to read a score at the level of this song?
It's been a really long time since I played this but I think a day or two at most for this one. It's actually easy to read and sight reading is one of my strengths. Playing it well is hard though, that took me weeks to get it to an acceptable level. Technique isn't really my strength.

0:14…0:20, I couldn’t stop laughing. If you can’t keep up on the technical section, you need to slow way down here in the easier section. When you go fast on easy section then slow down when you meet anything difficult your limit is well exposed. The technical part, obviously it’s just an attempt, its all cool. Don’t mess up the easy part. I wouldn’t be laughing if you took the beginning slowly. Then I would’ve said this was a good attempt. I’m almost the opposite. Wow, that was an awesome attempt although there are little mistakes. I know how difficult this song is, as I'm playing this song in a band (with an easier version of course 😂) Maybe I cover it again as I have improved 🤔
Thanks. I'd say go for it if you can. Just take care of your hands cause some passages make it hard for the wrists to relax.
