I can't believe it, I just heard this song again since 15 years ago, I always sang while I cried at nights bcs my parents argued all the time, singing it made me feel better. The only thing is that I didn't understand it bcs I speak Spanish and I'm just learning English, I cried again with this work of art and knowing today everything it says and means makes me think there are no languages or barriers to feeling.

I remember the first time Brother Bear came out in theaters, I was a girl scout and my troop was leaving the theaters but I stayed cause I wanted to watch the credits for some reason. I heard this song and it just stuck with me, now I'm a young adult and I always find myself remembering this song, not because it was from Brother Bear, but because the lyrics behind Phil Collins' genius, this song, the message and the delivery is spot on, and in dark times I listen to this especially with a lot hatred and death happening all around. If we stop discrimination and unnecessary killings, if we can all just look at each other and realize that were all the same. Human beings who may be different but still similar despite our backgrounds, religions and genders then maybe just maybe love can truly break the cycle of hatred.

Anyone else just vibing to the nostalgia in this in 2020?

This song tells me that you shouldn’t give up looking because what you need is so close that you wouldn’t believe it. So believe it and look for it.
