@@npchartingschool I cant stand the charting EMR systems PCC and ECW. They are inefficient. I feel frozen when I attempt to chart mainly because I'm a new grad and I've been there a month and a half now. I'm working in nursing home setting. I'm really slow because I feel like I'm going to mess up and end up in some kind of trouble without even knowing it. It takes me forever to chart on just one patient. Its like I forget where to even start. I'm searching for guidelines constantly. Yesterday I tried freedAI, but I havent starting charting it out yet. I'll do that today. I don't really want to chart at home but I'm having to do it because I get interrupted at work so much that the distractions cause my brain to just stop focusing on the charting. I hope FreedAI works out. I need a coach

@@npchartingschool it does require a bit more work, but I've heard really good comments about the quality of their notes in my clinic therefore im in a free trial, I currently use freed, I like it more than heidi, heidi is very inconsistent, many complaints about that recently in their community and also reddit if you look it up.

I have Freed AI open on my phone and my laptop. So if I use my phone in the room it will still capture the conversation. And then when I go to my laptop the chart note show up on Freed as well.

So sorry to hear you guys complain deeply of failing the exam. But I will assure you that NP exam won't be a problem to you anymore,if you work with someone like Mr Andrew . he help me through my exam and I made it through.

Really, you'll know him Too? I even thought I was the only one he has helped walk through the fears and falls of NP Exam, Mr Andrew has brought me out of the trenches and to a better living, I encourage repeat test taker to work with him.

As far as billing and coding, providers choose the level of service based on the complexity of the visit/patient or total time spent. Coding is no longer determined how long the chart note is. As far as legal issues, if you had a very detailed or comprehensive note that had conflicting information or maybe mentioned a symptom in the HPI but was not properly worked up, this would leave you liable. That’s why problem-focused chart notes, focusing on exact reason patient is being seen are better. Plus problem-focused chart notes take less time to write! Currently Freed AI does not integrate into my EHR. I copy and paste the subjective, etc sections into a template in my EHR. I know Freed AI is working on integrating with some of the major EHRs, so check with them if yours is connected! getfreed.sjv.io/m5kY2M

@@annmariecampbell6488 I would double check with your schools policy about using an AI Medical Scribe. Keep in mind, It is very important to actually learn how to chart and what should go in a SOAP note while in NP school. Freed AI will be very helpful once you get into practice and start seeing a large volume of patients.

Most charting systems have smart/dot phrases (may also be called macros). You can simply copy the smart phrase from the Comprehensive List of Smart Phrases and paste into your EHR.
