Also the Donkey Kong Country 3 has a restored version on youtube shared by "Jammin' Sam Miller," which has much better quality (These versions are the ones I used in this video) Since those games are quite old, original soundtracks are rather low quality.

I did watch Fire's (I think this was his name) Hollow Knight manhunt several times, they are pretty fun. Altough I won't be doing any Hollow Knight manhunts myself because I am not good at the game and I don't have friends to hunt me down lmao.

Yeah I actually looked for a mod that would let them contact kill me but couldn't find any. Idk if there is now. Even so we had to do it "slow-the-runner-down" style because death in Celeste is not as punishing as death in Minecraft.

@@hypertheo3683 I'm actually comparing it to the hollow knight manhunt. Since an open-world procedurally-generated 3D survival game is much further from celeste than a 2D metroidvania is.

@@hypertheo3683there me some custom mechanics and ideas introduced that seemed pretty cool, so if you had a reaction to any of them that might be fun to see! Otherwise either making a highlight reel or skipping it would be most enjoyable for me to watch

@@nebulae5236 I think for beginner lobby especially you might wanna just make a highlight reel or skip it if you don’t think there’s enough content. For later lobbies you might want to do a couple maps per video (collab maps are short), or one video per map when it gets tough.

Thank you, this is quite helpful. I knew the spike jump at 5:07, but the setup for it seemed a bit different, that's what I meant by "we used to do it different" there. I think everyone was reverse dashing into the room to get that spike jump. I'm glad you liked the video :)

There's no ultra at 11:52, it's a hyper into a coyote bhop I think 13:28 is just -a double cornerboost- two cornerboosts in a row, although it's still very difficult and almost nobody does it in runs

I can see why. This is a human viable adaptation of the actual TAS awake, so it might be harder to implement it back as TAS. I don't know much about TASing but I don't think you have the problem. So many micro variables exist in these kind of sequences so things aren't always how they look, especially when working with subpixels. Thanks for the attention anyways, I wish I could be of more help.

@@hypertheo3683 yea idk if its my skill issue or as you said it could be difficult to implement back into a tas. also like my tas it self for 2a is slower than humans lol. its 1:44 and thats considering i have the actual tas awake strat in it that i copied(ig there are some rooms that i checked where i didnt do the optimal routes).

I was actually planning on making an explanation about my absence. I didn't enjoy celeste lately so I kinda stopped making content, even though I was keeping a close attention to any activity from my viewers. But lately some of my friends encouraged me to keep going. Also the views on my tas awake video and sudden increase in my sub count is a factor too. So I'm thinking of returning to celeste to play some modded maps and tutorials. Thanks for asking, you guys are being a tangible reason for me to continue making content. See you in the field when I'm back again ✊🏽
