We had a new one in 66' exactly like this, same color inside and out. Only difference was ours didn't have a vinyl top. Dad took the family (4 kids and Mom) on a 3 week trip pulling a Coleman pop-up trailer. Carlsbad Caverns, Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Mesa Verde, Painted Desert, Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe and on to California, LA to San Francisco and back to Texas in Summer of 68'. Neeto!

Nice! We are working on my Dad's 1950 panel truck he got from New Mexico 4 months ago. It was originally green someone painted sky blue and had Zeller's Bakery written on the sides. It must have had a light or sign on the roof at one point. It will be a tow vehicle for my hotrod, race alongside me at the track with a 350sbc and a shot of nitrous, and travel cross country. It's nice to see others working on these ol panel trucks, definitely not something you see everyday right?

My favorite kind of old car--stock down to the six volt electrics. I sure hope no one has since destroyed this beautiful work of art to chop it up and lead sled it. You should have shown you driving it.

Cool. Reminds me of an idea I had for a '54 panel back in the '80s. Was going to take it, & give it a "raked" chop (lower in the front than in the back). Give it a "hearse" style interior. Black paint scheme with a graveyard mural on both sides. I was going to call it "Reaper's Last Ride". Had it all in my head. Was building a '54 pickup at the time. Unfortunately life got in the way. Barely got the pickup done. The panel remains just a dream.

Powerwagons never came from the factory in a dual cab. But I’m interested in the duel carb set up. I’m trying to figure out that part for my truck. And originally carb is about $800 us. So if I’m spending that much, I may aswell upgrade.

I had a 66 executive star chief in high school! That car was bulletproof I loved it! It was a land barge that gave meaning to land barge! It was green when green was cool! You don’t see them around anymore so this car really brought me back to high school! With studded snow tires their wasn’t a situation this car couldn’t get out of!
