ISLA's Florida Marine Tracks
Why ISLA's Florida Marine Tracks is used by many top inshore guides.
Просмотров 9 тыс.4 года назад
Over the last six years, thousands of people including many top pros ditched their Garmin controlled general reference charts, poor quality low resolution imagery, and inaccurate map detail to run ISLA charts. Why? Because it actually works exactly as advertised and is in a totally different league to their old charts. It helps them find productive fishing areas with super detailed bright and e...

    Thanks for all the work you have done to produce the mapping chips and the support to run them! I have been using the FMT chip for years, along with some of my friends who run them too. I just upgraded to a Simrad unit and we upgraded our chip for North and South Florida. It has been years since I loaded and set up my first set on a Lowrance GPS. Learning a new GPS and adding FMT charts at the same time is a challenge for me. This video and the segmentation along with a running narrative is first class all the way! Everything about ISLA has been top notch and extremely helpful. Much appreciated!

    Can someone please tell me how to get the page to auto-refresh so as the cursor leaves the current page I don’t have to climb down from my steering perch to use my finger to page ahead. I have a seated position I use 60-75% of the time but I love to stand up high, tiller in hand, perkin along at 35 knots in the sun. Thank you

    Good info. One thing for any one else watching, what he is referring to as a 'chip' or 'micro-chip' is a micro SD card. I was a bit confused by this until he showed it @ 40:00

    But if what you're mostly going to be doing is guiding your boat along the red lines, do you REALLY need the higher resolution and larger display for that?

    This is an excellent video. In addition to giving the 10,000' overview (thank you btw), you answered every question/scenario I was considering. I've been using the product on my skeeter 2550, but recently bought a skiff for some flats action, it was used w/ a Lowerance Hook on it...which I'll probably transfer to the bow as a fish finder on a forward transducer... Lastly, being a "technical professional" I work in the electronics field, I really appreciated how you laid out the video. Very concise! Thanks again!

    Enjoyed your video, got me motivated to explore the Hells Bay area (never done it). I see you slowing down a lot, is it very shallow? Any tips or pointers on avoiding hazards?

    • @zuluromeo1232
      @zuluromeo1232 6 лет назад

      His track showed the shallows and the way through. You always slow down on bends so you don't run over kayakers and canoers. They can't get out of your way if you are coming fast and you can't see what's around the corner. Besides, flying through the creeks and bays back there sort of defeats the purpose going in there in the 1st place.
