RUclips Journey: This is not a cooking video, but I wanted to make a soundtrack of the music I used in our past four videos. In this video I tried two new things like highlighting tracks and time stamping. Also the scrolling text took a while. The speed I needed for the scroll was so slow I was moving the text one frame at a time. I really need to read the user manual for Sony vegas Pro. Anyway, I used Jbit Macro. I sequenced my mouse and keystroke movements and set Jbit Macro to repeat the movements. Walla. The brown cloth background was one of many available at Snappaa.com. At the last minute I decided to add cooking pictures to pop in and replace the Breaded Pork Chop Thumbnail. Everything looked good, but after rendering the pictures appear so much smaller than the preview. I used Canva to resolve the issue. I just matched the Thumbnail pallet and the Hero Pics. The Hero Pics actually look better after editing them with Canva. I increased the Saturation and reduced the Blur. The same process for creating Thumbnail images. Snappa.com and Canva.com are free service services for content and web design creators. If you want to start a RUclips Channel then you have to visit both sites. These sites will help you design your Brand and Thumbnails. Canva also helped me Color Adjust the pictures which I needed to do anyway for our website Recipe Page. There were a total of 11 layers in this video. Three static layers, three animation layers and 5 music layers. I gave each song a layer so I can maximize the audio for each. I used Time Stamping to mark each song so listeners can jump music tracks. I am planning on using Time Stamping or Chapter Marking on my cooking videos. This was to be a project to keep me busy while our kitchen drain and kitchen water was out of order. Our kitchen plumbing was broken underground for the past 10 days. I hope this info helps any would-be RUclipsrs make the first step in pressing record and uploading your first creation.

You can use Self Rising Flour but Self Rising Flour is sometimes shipped by accident with little or no Baking Powder so I always add Baking Powder and Baking Soda. I add Baking Soda to counteract the acid in the Buttermilk which can reduce the rise of the biscuit. I bought shortening for this recipe but I chose at the last minute not to use it since many people don't carry it in their home. But using lard or shortening with butter will create a even lighter biscuit.

I highly recommend using eggs, buttermilk, butter (or Canola Oil), baking powder and baking soda with boxed pancake mixes. Especially for those mixes that only ask for only water. You can premix and store the dry ingredients in this recipe for convenience.. This recipe can be used with gluten-free flour and be just as fluffy. Mix the dry ingredients with the egg yoke, butter and buttermilk, then whip your egg whites into a meringue, then fold the egg white meringue fifteen times into the batter. The meringue provides the lift that gluten-free flour lacks. Best gluten-free fluffy pancakes you will ever have. My Plus 1's niece said that she has ordered gluten-free pancakes at many restaurants and my gluten-free pancakes are better than all of them.

RUclips Journey: Learned two things on this video. Clean the Focus Sensor on your camera. I clean the lens every time I make a batter change or move the camera, but I never thought about the Focus Sensor. Explains why my Extro and Teaser pics are blurry. Music, music, music.. I spent more time on finding music than I did editing the video. I spent 3 days on music and 30 hours on editing. There were 23 layers in this video. Think of layers like stairs, but if you look at the stairs from above then it looks like a plank. That's editing. It really isn't as hard as it sounds. Just start with two layers and in no time someone will have to tie your hands down from creating an extra one. Back to music. I wanted different music for the transitions. It takes time. The music has to match the scene and also has to match the flow of the video. Most importantly, you have to like the music and willing to listen to it repeatedly. If the music can't pass that test then your video will haunt you in your sleep. I actually listened to my last videos music while shopping at the grocery. I really enjoyed the music while the apples stewed. I needed a song to reflect waiting and watching water boil LOL. But yet keep the theme going until I start cooking the pancakes with a happier tempo. There are so many things to learn about making videos. I just recently tried RUclips Studio Audio Library that's how much a novice I am. Oh yeah if you don't practice cooking then you make mistakes like my batter throw down. But hey, if your serving pancakes to people, then put the ugly pancakes at the bottom. Hope this helps someone out there to start pressing RECORD on their phone or camera and uploading. Adios Beef

RUclips Journey: I finally solved the problem of graphics overlay with Sony Vegas Pro. The overlays positions during preview didn't match the overlays when the video was rendered. All graphic overlays were mis-positioned by one inch when the video was rendered in High Definition but would be correct under Low Resolution rendering. Graphic overlays would also disappear mid screen. All text are positioned near the screen edge but appear more toward the center of the screen. Compare the HOMEMADE BISCUITS & GRAVY video ruclips.net/video/MuntBxm9Mlo/видео.html to this video. There were no solutions on RUclips or Google. The difference between High Definition and Standard Definition is resolution so I went back to the transparent artwork. I creates a 1920x1080 transparent pallet (1920x1080 is HD) that matched the resolution of my recording regardless the size of the artwork. Problem solved. All artwork is positioned exactly during Preview and Rendering. The whole thing gave me a headache. I went back and rebuilt all the artwork and templates so I wouldn't have to repeat this process with every video. I hope this is helpful to other people using Sony Vegas Pro in their RUclips productions.

RUclips Journey: Recorded audio. Reviewed and wrote the audio into a script, then re-recorded the audio. The audio sounds natural with less fluctuation in audio volume. Background noise is only an issue when recording the audio. I used Sound Forge to edit the dubbed audio. I used Sony Vegas Pro to remove the original audio and overlay the scripted audio on top of the video. This video had 6 camera angles and 12 video element overlays. Each element such as sound is an element overlay. 50GB of data. 18 hours to edit. Three hours to render. Review on RUclips and re-render 3 times to make corrections. Its not as bad as it sounds. This video was the first video I actually used Sony Vegas Pro to correct lighting issues for both pictures and video. Finding good music that is Copyright Free and researching whether it is truly Copyright Free can take hours and hours. Put it all together, then decide you don't like it. Start over.

RUclips Journey: Pumping out content (Good Bad or Ugly) is important. As everyone says "Keep pressing record... don't worry... everything will get fixed over time... Can't learn without making many mistakes." Trying to fight the urge to move my hands too and talk too much. Next issue is audio. Editing live audio sucks. Finding a time to video without background noise is a challenge. Environmental issues like steam is something you wont see until editing, but the food will not wait while you try to solve filming issues. Re-filming = Spending money. This is not an option. Make notes and move on.

RUclips Journey: There are fewer good Extro Pictures. Cleaning the camera lens with alcohol and Q-tips between camera shots, battery replacements and memory card downloads is time consuming, but today I realized that you have to clean the camera focus sensor as well. I didn't realize the overlay graphics were out of position when rendered at 8Gbps. Everything was in position when rendered at a lower resolution. I'm not sure how to fix this. Its annoying . I couldn't find a solution on RUclips or Google. Experimenting with changing music during transitions. This requires more time researching Copyright Free music that is truly Copyright Free. Copyright infringement notices from RUclips is not good. I find rendering the video and watching it while researching music really helps. Enthusiasm. You can prepare to shoot video, but I found it difficult to keep my mood bright (Advice from Justin Brown's Channel) and have it reflect the mood of a particular scene. I have to record audio late at night because it is the only time it is truly quiet. You can hear that I am tired or just plain not excited. Not good. So I started playing the music track from the previous video through headphones to inspire my tone of voice and it worked. Its like listening to music while exercising. Listening to the music also helped me with my music search. If I can't listen to it repeatedly then I doubt if other people will like to listen to it once. This was advice taken from Cathrin Mannings Channel. I am spending more time in editing the videos because posting and removing a video to fix it is not good. You will lose all your views and posts.

RUclips Journey: I purchased a standing lamp and use the second 1490 Lumens Bulb, but the video lighting didn't improve. My best guess is that I am over saturating Sony Cybershot WX9 camera. Another issue is heat. Cooking, the two bright light, July hot weather and filming with the vents off (to eliminate background noise) is push kitchen temperature to over 100 degrees.

The chicken was rinsed with water to remove the brine from the outside of the chicken. The chicken was allowed to drain and dry before breading. There is no seasoning in the flour.

You can use aluminum foil or parchment paper if you use your oven. Do not attempt this with wax paper unless you like a waxy taste to your food.
