@@blackout6403 oh I thought you implying that the sound was fake/added in post haha! There is a loose wire sticking out the side so it’s most likely to do with the electric system that has got wet!

It’s alright, but I think a warp sound with electric could be better. Or a electric sound reverb.
Looking back I’m not particularly happy with the sound. After making two sounds for Gyre I have a new appreciation for the original sound design that I didn’t have before. Yes an electrical sound would work - good suggestions! Thanks for your comment!

It most definitely is! It felt more surreal being there as no one seemed to give it any attention. I felt like I was a player character inside a computer game seeing a glitch happen in front of me and then seeing no one else notice it made them feel like the NPCs of the game. Also if you close your eyes the sound could be used as fire sfx, I think!

I feel like this would fit much more better in 2042 than in 1, it has alot of impact and density but it doesn't really fit the WW1 aesthetic seeing as how modern it sounds. Great work tho

aaah so many things. I used a metal slinky, fireworks, squeaky plastic, mouth sounds, bath plugs, you name it! too many sounds to make a video.. i also thought it had too many layers, not so pleased with the turnout...
