I used to have hundreds of friends, but as time passed I became lonely. It is what it is

Saw this movie as a young adult until hardship got to me as I got older. Now I can understand Travis Bickles loniness in the world he's in since he doesn't have a social life and is pretty awkward to talk to. If I met someone like him in real life I would just listen to a word he had to say and make conversation about the things he likes and what we like. If he had someone to socialize with him more he could not do the things he's done in the movie to make himself look like a hero or prove he has some worth to something or someone in the world he's in.
