Stunning studio transformation for Charlotte Tilbury in Toronto
Companies can learn a lot from Charlotte Tilbury's efforts to create unique experiences for their brand advocates.
To promote their new Exagger-Eyes Mascara here in Canada, the brand came to us in partnership with event activation company Rock Paper Scissors (www.rpscissors.com/) to produce a magical day for over 30 local beauty influencers.
We transformed our Event Studio (startwell.co/products/event-studio) facility for the day; with House of XM (www.houseofxm.com/) covering all internal walls with black curtain to create an on-brand atmosphere that was accented with lighting, props and luxe furnishings.
Using heavy fabric drapery, we created a series of spaces that prompted excitement and...

Great content @startwell! If I may chime in on why some people prefer to call it "flower" rather than "weed," my best guess is that it’s a marketing effort to rebrand cannabis, distancing it from the "Cheech and Chong" stereotype. While legalization has eased some of the long-standing stigma, there's still a way to go in helping Canadians embrace cannabis through informed and responsible consumption

Mike tells a great story starting about the 8-minute mark, about a time he tried and failed to facilitate. I love how this demonstrates Mike's humility, and how facilitation might LOOK easy (when done well), but it's really hard if you still need to learn how.

They need to give up on the office building idea because office buildings are no longer necessary because all office work at least 90% of office work can be done online and at home instead of redesigning and restructuring off office buildings maybe they could turn them into housing but I’m just a crazy person on the Internet what do I know someone who sees businesses sit empty for years meanwhile the same place has hundreds of homeless people

  • @Helfirehydratrans

Here’s an idea what they could do with all the office buildings that are shutting down because of at home work turn the office buildings into apartment buildings one room apartment buildings for affordable rent because those office spaces if they’re not used for an office they’re just gonna sit empty for years I know it because I’ve seen offices get shut down and sit empty for years prime real estate that could help the homeless problem but they don’t want to because it’s commercial and they can’t have resident there but there’s no problem with setting up homeless shelters but they don’t even wanna do that because of the pandemic there’s gonna be a huge influx of empty office buildings and they’re just gonna sit empty because nobody wants to turn them into housing because they would rather wait for businesses to buy them instead of turn it into housing

Maybe if we weren't forced to get 2 - 3 jobs just to stay alive, we wouldn't be in this predicament. Yet, here we are, having to work multiple jobs to pay the ever increasing cost of living. But it's MY fault for not working hard right? Working 40hrs is considered lazy now. You must work 60+hrs to be viewed as a "real worker". The goal post keeps moving out of reach, just like how rent keeps increasing. Work place suicide is rising, wouldn't be surprised if people took their own life to get a day off from work. Not that it hasn't happened before, what I mean is it WILL INCREASE.
