Thanks. I heard from a fellow spotter they tend to accelerate then drop the notches and apply a little breaking power once the loco is over the point. Unsure why

@JacobsTrainVideos it is yes. Only get the odd 3 headcode venturing down there. If you remember the 'The Last Chance' railtour last year (8th April) that tour went down the old district line. The line is more of a huge run around for locos at Immingham you could say

800/801/802. Doesn't matter what they are, they are totally UGLY, vomit-inducing pieces of "out-dated-before-they-were-delivered" pieces of total shite. Compare one to a European train, such as the Class 180, and see the difference in build quality, aesthetics, and just scrap the Hitachi rubbish. They are the most uncomfortable trains I have ever been on, noisy to an extreme, loose panels, vibrating window glass, complete junk. No wonder, Hitachi had to bribe MPs to get to win the deal for them.
